Our Curriculum 2 IN 1
2 IN 1 that’s our curriculum to teach you Conversational Chinese/HSK. With this curriculum we provide 2 results in 1 course. You will learn daily life Conversational Chinese and, for those who are interested, have the opportunity to pass HSK exam at the same time. No additional Exam preparation is needed which saves you both money and time.

Intensive 30 and Intensive 20 courses
The Intensive 30 Course is with 30 classes per week our most immersive Course. It focuses on acquiring the highest level of Conversational or Business Chinese, at the same time preparing the student to pass the Chinese HSK exam.
Compared to the Intensive 20 Course the Intensive 30 Course allows for two additional afternoon classes per day in which what has been learned in the morning is being practiced in an effective yet fun way in the afternoon. Apart from that, the Intensive 30 course includes a Friday afternoon out of class Activity: we take the students outside where they can practice their Mandarin in the real world. Class size is small with a maximum of 8 students.
The Intensive Courses are best suited for those who:
• want to acquire a deep knowledge of Mandarin in all its aspects listening, speaking, reading and writing;
• want to learn Mandarin fast and to the fullest;
• prefer to review and practice in the classroom rather than only at home.
Express 30 Course
The increasing importance of HSK has been the reason to design our Express Course. It is undoubtedly the fastest way to pass your HSK exams with good results. In this course we stretch the student’s language skills to the fullest. The class size is with 4 students small.
The Express course is best suited for those who:
• want to sign up for University or apply for a job and now need to pass HSK 4 or 5 as fast as possible;
• quickly need to acquire extra ‘HSK-points’ to get their VISA under the latest VISA rules;
• want to challenge themselves and see how fast they can master Mandarin.

Our Summer Camp is ideal for parents who want to give their children a head start in learning Mandarin and get to know China! They will be immersed not only in the Chinese language but as much so in its culture. We specialise in providing a safe, fun, motivating, and educational environment for all kids. Our full time camp is best suited for children in the age of 13 - 17 yrs.

I have been learning Chinese at Silk Mandarin for only one extremely amazing month. My experience in this school is one of its own. Even if I have been learning already 3 languages in different methods and schools, I strongly believe that Silk Mandarin is providing the best way to learn the Chinese language. It is not about just learning vocabulary but mostly about being accurate and consistent when I speak. To learn such a language I had to be an active learner by practicing real Chinese. Silk Mandarin is providing such an environment: I was lucky to study with people from different countries, learn from them as well and make this journey much more enjoyable. I have been able to talk with Chinese teachers during free time and getting my Chinese improved even during break time and still have a lot of fun!
In my opinion, professors are very professional, they did not only taught me the language but also the culture behind and its mindset.
Everything gets so easy when you have a clear structured map in mind and you turn your mind into the "Slow Motion Mode".

I recommend 100% Silk Mandarin, I am taking private lessons at my office with my amazing teacher Masae. The methodology is great, books are very useful and I have class at the time and place that suits me best. Overall great experience!

I came to Silk Mandarin with a clear goal of going to HSK 3 to HSK 4 in three months with daily classes. The school devised a program for me. I had one teacher the whole time Lexie who was a really great teacher, taught me the content in an interesting way also helped me express myself better beyond the syllabus. As I got better she encouraged me to really to talk about important things and have an opinion in Chinese. She is a hero. Sylvia and school management are also very good. To make it better value they found me a classmate and we did it together.
My only caveat is the price. If you are not in a group class it is expensive. If you are sponsored by a school or company it is a no brainer because of quality and easiness, but if you are price sensitive I would recommend also seeing if you can find a private teacher.

Silk Mandarin's language training technique is truly groundbreaking and progressive. I have studied chinese for 10 years, and most of my progress has been in my 3 months at Silk. It was only after I started studying at Silk Mandarin that I began to actually understand what I was learning and slowly build confidence to speak. Silk doesn't just teach vocabulary and grammar, but teaches you the thought patterns required to speak Chinese naturally. In addition, the teachers take such good care of you, whether they are your individual teacher or not.! As soon as you walk in through the door, you are looked after so well!

I am student of XJTLU university. I have been learning Chinese for almost 3 years and I got to say that in last 4 months of my intensive Chines courses in Silk Mandarin I got more help than even before! I am really glad to find such professionals who are dedicated to help you and make sure that you understand every aspect of Chinese language. When I first came and had my trial class at Silk Mandarin I immediately realised that THIS IS THE PLACE where you can improve your Chinese! I started from reviewing HSK3 and already have finished HKS4. It was awesome experience! I am really happy that I finally found proper language courses with very professional teachers. If you want to go from " 听不懂“ to “听得懂” this is the right place to go to!

After I had finished HSK1 private lessons, I found Silk Mandarin on facebook for HSK 2 level in Suzhou. From the first meeting my consultant has explained to me every detail and also the method that this school uses (slow motion method) and I was convinced from what I saw that it is a very nice organized training center. Now that I finished the lessons for HSK2 I have to mention that my choice was successful. Well educated teacher, nice environment, convenient location, lesson hours according to student needs, the teacher replied to all of my questions even at not office hours. I really enjoyed the lessons and the best thing I trully enjoyed was the explanation from teacher about the formation of Hanzi characters.

I was searching in the internet for a language school in Suzhou to start learning Chinese language. The Silk Mandarin website catched my eyes. So I contacted the Shanghai office. From the first moment I had a good feeling about that school. I did try to learn at home first. But I realised it is much too difficult for me to do so. I needed a system and a schedule. Both I found at Silk Mandarin. The school in Suzhou is located in the trousers building at Jinji Lake. Don´t know why, but I like that place in general. First contact in Suzhou I had with Amy. She´s a very friendly and nice lady. She explained me everything perfect. We created a suitable schedule for me. The introduction lesson I had with Shirley. She is also a nice teacher and explained me everything about the learning system. My lessons for HSK1 I had with Hailey. I felt myself in best hands with her. She is a very patient teacher, always friendly and competent. We had a lot of joy during the lessons but never lost sight of the goal. The teachers also offered nice weekend activities like Tai Chi, dumpling course and hiking in the Mudu mountains. Even during these activities we improved our language knowlwdge. Finally I must say it was a great experience. I can recommend the school to everybody who is looking for the best. Thanks again to all the teachers and staff.

Silk Mandarin is great place to butcher the language and make impressive language gains. Albeit expensive, I have found them to be professional and efficient in how they work and adaptive to different paces of study. 9/10 because no-one is perfect. I'm about to start HSK4.

I have been in China for almost 3 years now but it was only a couple of months ago that I thought of officially learning Chinese. Better late than never :)
With plenty of options in shanghai with similar offerings, it was tough to pick one but the demo class at Silk Mandarin sorted it out. To the point yet comprehensive. I enrolled for HSK 1 and am not disappointed so far.
The staff is really cool and cooperative. Facilities are nice and location is very convenient. Shout-out to Teacher Hannah for amazing lessons. Overall it has been great so far so will definitely continue with HSK2.
