TOEFL is an English-proficiency examination required for entrance to most North American universities and colleges. Our TOEFL preparation course offers covers all aspects of TOEFL including the following skills: independent and integrated speaking, listening comprehension; vocabulary; grammar; reading; independent and integrated writing; and test-taking. Students also get to practice for the Internet-based TOEFL test using the computers in our lab.

This course offers a comprehensive curriculum that covers listening comprehension, vocabulary development, reading skills, oral skills, essay and letter writing, and fundamental grammatical skills. Students are exposed to university-level materials including materials from the official Cambridge Exams, TOEFL, and IELTS as well as other sources. Test-taking strategies are also included.

This course helps students to become more confident in their written and oral communication skills in work situations with clients, co-workers and supervisors. Areas of focus are developing effective skills in making telephone calls and oral presentations, conducting and participating in business meetings, improving listening skills in employment situations, training in business vocabulary, and terms used in office memos, business letters and announcements. As well, the curriculum covers marketing, negotiating, finance and business practices.
