The main campus of Vancouver Island University (VIU) is on a spectacular 110-acre site overlooking the city of Nanaimo, the Georgia Strait, and the Coast Mountains on the British Columbia Mainland. Features of the campus include a 294-seat theatre; well-equipped state-of-the art new library; new Faculty of Management Centre; gymnasium; art studios; science labs; six research centers; a new Centre for International Education; and 13 research centres. 400 new 'alpine style' on-campus apartment and single room student residences add to the on-campus 'community'. We also mange our own homestay program which is very popular with international students.
