mackdonald language academy is an ACELS/QQI and MEI accredited and independent English language school in Kilkenny. The school is specialised in offering 'all inclusive' holiday courses for kids and teenagers from all over the world.
Students do not only improve their English, they also get a very good impression of the cultural and natural beauty of Ireland.
All Junior courses are 'all inclusive': English lessons in small classes (15 hrs/week), full board accommodation with a nice and welcoming host family (single room), transfers to/from school every day, airport transfers (Dublin DUB) and assisted check-in upon departure, varied afternoon programme with many cultural, social and sportive activities, weekly full-day excursions to interesting places across Ireland.

I have been in Mackdonald Language Academy's summer courses several times and that's obviously because i like it. Kilkenny is a beautiful place which has become my second town, i loved spending time at the castle park and going for a walk in the city center. I also enjoyed the classes and trips and met a lot of people from different countries that are now my friends. And i stayed with families who always were good and took care of me so made me feel part of the family, specially those last years, i really had a great time playing with Mia and Sam.
I'm quite sure i will come back to Kilkenny someday, and that's because you gave me an amazing experience. I just can feel grateful.

I was twice in Kilkenny, July 2012 and July 2013, both courses were a great experience. I made lots of new friends. with which I'm still in touch. My host family was so lovely, I became a family member very fast. The classes were also very good, the teachers were nice people, I've learned a lot. The people in my class were from different countries but we had so much fun together :D
I regret that I found this language academy so late in my life :'(
But someday I'll come back just to see what's going on :)

I've stayed in Kilkenny for 3 weeks and the only thing I regret about is that my journey was so short! In the Mackdonald academy everyone can find a comrade, because there are children of all age groups. I'm 18 and I did not have any hope to meet someone to spend time with. But I was surprised to make a few really good friends there! The same I can say about yonger boys and girls : after 3 lessons and lunch they already spoke and loughed like they were old friends! The athmosphere was very kind and cosy, no one staied alone. Elder students were very attentive to their little colleagues, children played valleyball, football and hurling all together! What about activities, they were very exciting and so different! We visited beautiful places, dark caves, a forest with deers, ancient univercity and strongholds! All guides had legible perfect speech. In my host family I never felt any discomfort, I found common languege at once! And I really miss them, they filled my journey with warmth and care. As a conclusion, I'd like to say it is not only english skills I got there, also I saw the country, made good friends and got a few lessons of life.

Nice guys, great activities, a lovingly hostfamily and excellent teachers.
All in all the best time I've ever had.

I was there for 6 weeks and I had a lot of fun. The family and the Teachers were very nice and friendly. And the activities were really good. It was a nice experience and i I would recommend it to everyone who wants to learn english and have a lot of fun.

I went 5 times to the Mackdonald Language Academy, and I had a great time there. Kilkenny is a lovely city and people are very nice. The chosen hostfamilies are really good. Every summer I've been there, I had the opportunity to be with a very nice family who has always been available for me. Classes were also very good, thanks to the great teachers.
It's an amazing and interesting experience, and i recommend it to everyone who wants to have a great time, is interested about the irish culture and make a lot of friends.

I went 4 times on a summer course with the language academy and so has my brother,and both my family and I can only recommend it to others as the host families are very welcoming and the lessons were well structured and valuable. The city of Killkenny is beautiful and I very much enjoyed trips to Dublin, historic sites and the seaside. I made many friends which whom I'm still in touch.
I can only praise the organisation as every year I have come I had a wonderfull time!
