Scuola Portofino is established in 1995, our Italian language school has offered Italian language courses in the historic center of Florence.
1-Our premises are spacious and comfortable and are located in a central area of Florence, just a few steps away from Piazza Duomo, which is one of the main shopping, cafe, restaurants areas of the city, and can be easily reached by the public transport.
2-Our teachers are experts and qualified to teach Italian language for foreigners.
3-Scuola Portofino is a school of Italian language and culture in Italy endorsed by the Italian Department of Foreign Affairs.
4-Expertise and friendliness play an important role in our language courses. The energetic and professional approach implemented by our staff benefits our students as they learn the Italian language.
5-The Italian language courses offered by Scuola Portofino are for small groups of students and care for the needs of each student, granting a fast and efficient learning.
6-Our school offers each student a tutor, who helps them plan and manage their study period in Italy.
7-Our Italian language institute offers both language courses and social activities in Florence and around Tuscany. Students of all ages and nationalities are happy to join our course programs.

The goal of the course is to raise student confidence in using Italian, knowledge and fluency.Our Standard Italian Language Course lets students acquire 4 linguistic abilities (listening, reading, writing and speaking) and develop a “5th ability,” that also gives our students the opportunity to learn Italian body language and communication codes, through subjects related to different aspects of the Italian culture, lifestyle and nature.
Each group is taught by two Professional italian teachers a day in order to ensure more varied and stimulating instruction.
Since no translation is used in the classroom you will quickly be able to understand and express yourself in Italian.

Holiday Italian Courses – Ma Che Bella Vita!
Florence is a very lively city from the cultural point of view and offers many opportunities to attend theatrical activities and musical performances, historical places and museums .
In order to promote a friendly atmosphere amongst the students and teachers at Parola, we organize dinners in local restaurants, socials and evening meetings.
Some of our teachers are qualified tourist guides who accompany students to places that are not normally included in the common tourist routes. These guided tours illustrate the evolution of art, fashion, culture and Italian traditions through the ages. The tour destinations also include famous historical places like churches, monuments and museums vs.. Visits to museums, participation in concerts, excursions, showings of films, conferences, dinners in restaurants, meetings with Italian students, visits to markets and evening entertainment are organised by the Institute staff, who, besides teaching, give special attention to student social activities. Parola Italian school organizes sightseeing trips to the most interesting cities in Tuscany, including Siena, San Gimignano, Pisa, Lucca, and the seaside.
