Dishonest school - Take your money elsewhere

I am writing to warn others against using this language school. I’ve gone to three others and can assure you that there are other schools that will not lie or take advantage of you.
I made a reservation for one week of intensive language training for March 2-6, 2020. The school was closed as a result of Covid-19 the week of Feb 24-28 as well as March 2-6, 2020, and did not resume offering any form of instruction, including online until well after the week I had paid for. I emailed to express my concern, and I was told I could have credit to take the course another time within a year or a refund less 20%. I then asked if I would receive the full refund if the school had to be closed and was told a full refund would not be given even because the school was not responsible for “the unpleasant situation.” At that point (Wednesday February 26, 2020) I ceased communication and started a dispute with my credit card company Citibank.
The school lied and told Citibank that I had never cancelled and refused to provide any refund. I responded to Citibank with a copy of the full email exchange proving that I told the school I needed to cancel my reservation. When I asked the school about a refund, I was told I could have credit to take the course another time within a year or an 80% refund. Given that Covid-19 was quickly becoming an obvious problem, selecting the credit to use within a year essentially meant that they would just keep my money and provide no instruction since it would not be safe to travel from the United States to Italy and back and spend time in a small classroom with people from various countries. I then asked if I would receive the full refund if the school had to be closed and was told a full refund would not be given even because the school was not responsible for “the unpleasant situation.” At that point (Wednesday February 26, 2020) I ceased communication with the school because it was clear that they were not going to respect fair business practices and provide a refund even though they were unable to provide service previously paid for. They ultimately provided the 80% refund after Citibank worked with them over the course of nearly 3 months, but I find it inexcusable that the full amount was not refunded. They probably reported the full amount as a loss to their insurance, though. Caveat emptor.

Learn Italian

Ho fatto un corso di due settimane a Milano. Era molto contenta con tutto il staff e la locazione della scuola. Ho profito già tanto e ho continuato con le lezione di Skype chi sono molto comodo per me.
Posso veramente consiliare ai tutti chi vogliono studiare l'Italiano questa scuola. Si studia meglio si resta nel Paese dové la lingua è parlata.

Hi I can really recommend the school, it's situated on a campus of an academy and there are excellent teachers. Not only that also the activities provided were excellent. What I liked most, that I could continue after the course via Skype. So I could improve the basics I learned at school in those two weeks.

Cette école est vraiment à conseiller. Pourquoi? des prof excellents, activités bonnes choisies, idéal site sur un campus avec le bistro sur le place. La possibilté d'utliser des ordinateurs et aussi la possibilté de continuer après le séjour avec des leçons du Skype. J'en ai profité beaucoup. Non seulement pour l'Italien mais étudier cette langue m'a aidé aussi avec le français et vice versa.
Alors allez a Milano si veuillez apprendre l'Italien.

Ich war 2 Wochen im Herbst in Mailand und kann die Schule wirklich nur empfehlen. Die Lehrer und Tiziana und Gessica am Empfang sind wirklich spitze. Die Aktivitäten welche die Schule anbietet sind vielfältig und man lernt so Mailand auch noch kennen. Ich lernte einiges, welches ich nun noch durch Skype lektionen weiter vertiefe.
Danke der ganzen Schule und ich hoffe, dass diese Rewiev auch weiterhilft.

Bu dil kursu italyancayi cok iyi ogretiyor . Bu dil kursu her anlamda kisiye yardimci oluyor. Butun hocalari her anlamda yardimci oluyor. Hic yabancilik cekmiyorsun. Buyuk bir aileye gelmis gibi hissediyorsun. 4 sene once gelmeme ragmen hala dostluklarimiz devam ediyor. Bu dil kursunun bir parcasi olmaktan cok mutluyum. Herkesi cok seviyorum. Italyancayi ozen gostererek anlatiyorlar ve kisinin anliyacagi seviyede anlatiyorlar. Italyancayi unutmama nedenim iyi bir alt yapiya ulastirmalaridir.

It was a great experience!

Hello! I will start from the beginning...it was really great experience to study italian in Scuola Leonardo da Vinci! One month in 2012 and then 6 month in 2013... I like everything about this school: the way of teaching, the teachers like persons, the staff who works at school is ready to help you every time when you need it. it was really great even when they start replying immediately after my enrollment. My italian has improved a lot, also I found a lot of friends from all over the world.My italian has become so good that now I need to practice more english.Maybe everything sounds so incredibily good, but its really what I think.Now I am also sad that I finished studing there.Also there are good things about this school like apartments which find the school and the location of the school (its in the center of milan). P.S. Per tutti che hanno già cominciati ad imparare l'italiano...Se cercate il posto con davvero buon insegnamento, se volete passare il tempo a Milano migliorando la vostra lingua.consiglio questa scuola :)
