Malta University Language School is the only English Language School for foreigners in Malta that can offer a total university campus-life experience. It is also the only school whose teachers and tutors are professionally trained and hold University degrees as well as certificates and diplomas in the teaching of English as a foreign language. They all have a vast experience in teaching English to foreigners and they keep abreast with current TEFL trends through periodic in-service courses. The University of Malta traces its origin to the Collegium Melitense founded in 1592. Its excellent reputation is recognised by universities worldwide. In 1968, the University moved from its original location in Valletta to the new campus at Msida. Since then, the campus has been progressively extended and embellished, not simply to host more students but also to create open spaces where students can study, chat and enjoy the glorious Mediterranean weather. The University of Malta Campus hosts all-year round activities for students - theatre, film, concerts and parties amongst others. The International School of Languages offers courses in General English, Intensive English, Business English, IELTS preparation, Medical English and Tailor made programmes. It is able to use this as it is the Universities language school and is able to collaborate with the faculties on Campus.
