Great school to learn Chinese

My main goal was to learn as much as possible within a short period of time during my stay in Shanghai. I went to Silk Mandarin everyday and took one on one classes for 2 months in total. My Mandarin skills were non existent before I took classes. My learning curve was great, because I can manage my daily life using Chinese. Everybody at Silk Mandarin was helpful with all of my questions. My teacher Jane Wu motivated me every time I felt that I can't keep up anymore. She also supported me with knowledge about the Chinese culture, which is as much important as learning the language.

The school replied to my questions in a very professional way, which was one of the reasons why I chose Silk Mandarin. Also the online teaching videos are really helpful and fun to learn with. Everything is explained in detail and in a fun way. I liked preparing for the class and reviewing again after class. This made my lessons in class much more effective, because I could already use what I learned and practice with my teacher.

I am really happy that I chose Silk Mandarin and I can recommend this school hundred percent to anybody who wants to learn Chinese in a friendly and challenging environment. I almost finished HSK 3 within a couple of months and I will also take online classes when I am back in Germany.

Online and Onsite Blended course experience

I tried to learn Chinese with a private teacher and After 4 months I gave up because I could not see real improvement and got desperate. 4 years later I came across a very funny and creative video about chinese language. I found out that the video was created by a chinese language school (Silk Mandarin) in Shanghai and I watched more of their videos. After watching some of the videos, I got motivated and decided to give chinese a second try! I started from the beginning, HSK 1 Blended course which is amazing for people with tight schedules. Because each student studied the lesson before class on our own time and during the online class we just practiced and reviewed if we had some questions. Silk Mandarin was very flexible and helped me finding a class that fitted my schedule perfectly. This course was great to remind myself what I learned before and practice my pronunciation during the class. After I completed the HSK1 course I decided to continue with HSK2 but I told Silk Mandarin that I wanted a different type of blended course. Once again they were very flexible and helpful. They offered me a Blended Course with onsite class instead of online. Online Blended course was a good start but onsite class is better for further levels like HSK2. I think the communication between teacher and student flows better and it really makes a difference to improve pronunciation.

A review for students that want to learn and enjoy Mandarin

I have taken on and off breaks in learning Mandarin, which proved difficult when trying to get back on the process as inconsistencies appear in my language proficiency. Joining Silk Mandarin has helped fixed my inconsistencies and further refined my language skills. My teacher (Sisi) adapts to my pace and levels with my skills, all the while guiding me on improving my grammar, encouraging me to be confident by initiating conversations about everything in mandarin and further refining my language proficienct in an enjoyable manner. I highly recommend Silk Mandarin to individuals who would want to undertake in learning Mandarin as they have a proper and efficient structure on how foreigners will be able to learn Mandarin with capable and experienced teachers that are able to adapt to students' and their capabilities! Furthermore, the service and facilities provided, though online, is plenty and useful.

Target HSK 5 with Silk Mandarin !

I always wanted to learn Chinese since I have arrived in China. Before, I was in country side and I couldn't have face to face class so I had to learn by myself. I have reached a plateau and thanks to Silk Mandarin I have been able to better understand grammar while getting new vocabulary, starting my HSK 4 classes now !

I choose Silk Mandarin because a friend of mine was learning with them and became so much fluent in Chinese. I was and am still jealous of his chinese level.

I believe the interactions with th teacher is the most but not least apprciated factor for me. Sometimes I found the methodology hard but I like to be challenged.

A great learning experience

I found out about Silk Mandarin from a colleague who had taken classes with them and was really satisfied. I decided to sign up for the beginner level and this was one of the best decisions I have made. I had tried to learn Chinese on my own, but could never find a good system to follow, and without support, I always ended up interrupting my studies. Ever since I started taking classes with Silk Mandarin, I have felt that I am finally making progress in my study of the Chinese language.
Everyone at Silk Mandarin is extremely friendly and helpful. There are many different course options - group classes or individual lessons, so everyone can find a format that works best with their schedule and learning style. I have really enjoyed the individual lessons because I can plan them around my free time, and we can go at a pace that works for me: sometimes faster, sometimes slower, depending on my understanding of the material we are studying. The teachers are very friendly, encouraging, and knowledgeable, presenting the information very clearly. They are also always happy to answer any questions. There is a very helpful online platform where one can get access to all audio files, characters, and grammar information.
Silk Mandarin is a great place to learn Chinese. I can only highly recommend them.

Silk Mandarin slow motion technic

Silk mandarin slow motion technic was best method to comprehend the logic of Chinese language and grammar compared to my previous Chinese language learning experiences. The staff and teachers were most helpful, understanding and accommodating my personal needs and weaknesses. I would highly recommend silk mandarin and would join further lessons with them.

Great experience!

1 came across Silk Mandarin on Social Media. I found their short reels very entertaining, easy to follow and good quality, so I signed up for my first group classes. I've been learning for more than a year now, has switched from group classes to individual. What I find great about Silk Mandarin team is that they are very helpful, understanding and supportive. I never have problems negotiating and sharing my concerns and asking any questions. They are trustworthy and easygoing. I also am very happy with my teacher Sisi. Her way of teaching is very clear, positive and easy to follow. She makes me feel like I'm chatting with a friend for 2 hours, there's no pressure of having a strict student/teacher relationship.
My experience has been great. I highly recommend to start learning Chinese in this school. Good luck!

Great learning experience at Silk Mandarin Suzhou

I have been learning Chinese for a few years, but only joined Silk Mandarin last year- my Chinese has never improved so much since being a student here. The classes are well structured and the environment is welcoming. If you want more for your Chinese learning (outdoor or cultural activities) the Silk team offer interesting opportunities each month. I would strongly recommend my instructor Sisi and the school!

I would whole-heartedly recommend learning Chinese at silk mandarin! Great value, courses, online learning platform to use aside from the courses corresponding to the level. Fantastic classes, enjoyable chats especially with my teacher Christina, who is really good at explaining the words in detail so that I actually understand them, big difference to learning from the book. I'm really glad to be here, and would genuinely recommend doing a course here, also great for flexibility and target, they adjust the course according to priorities :)

Silk-Mandarin: My window to additional blessings

I can testify that I'm among the luckiest viewers of short videos on WeChat channels as a result of coming across the "Silk Mandarin" channel. Before, I was like; it would be impossible for me to understand what the locals were saying, the Chinese characters written on the package of my bread, and especially never dreaming of speaking the language, which I thought was the most difficult one ever to learn. However, with Silk Mandarin, I started seeing the light at the end of the tunnel since I can now (after like 3 months) averagely understand what the locals are saying and even try to respond to them in classical and grammatically standard Chinese. Despite having tight schedules at work, I continue to balance work and learning Chinese with the experienced teachers they have. The teachers are superb, as is the system since they always find time to contact us from the human resources department to evaluate our progress and ask if we have any reservations or difficulties so that they can help us overcome them and ensure smooth learning. To my Chinese teachers, especially teacher SISI and teacher SILVIA, words cannot express my gratitude toward you. I wish you every blessing throughout your life.

Finally, I cannot conclude without strongly recommending Silk Mandarin to any non-Native Chinese seeking to know about the Chinese language and the rich Chinese culture.
