Our Curriculum 2 IN 1
2 IN 1 that’s our curriculum to teach you Conversational Chinese/HSK. With this curriculum we provide 2 results in 1 course. You will learn daily life Conversational Chinese and, for those who are interested, have the opportunity to pass HSK exam at the same time. No additional Exam preparation is needed which saves you both money and time.

Intensive 30 and Intensive 20 courses
The Intensive 30 Course is with 30 classes per week our most immersive Course. It focuses on acquiring the highest level of Conversational or Business Chinese, at the same time preparing the student to pass the Chinese HSK exam.
Compared to the Intensive 20 Course the Intensive 30 Course allows for two additional afternoon classes per day in which what has been learned in the morning is being practiced in an effective yet fun way in the afternoon. Apart from that, the Intensive 30 course includes a Friday afternoon out of class Activity: we take the students outside where they can practice their Mandarin in the real world. Class size is small with a maximum of 8 students.
The Intensive Courses are best suited for those who:
• want to acquire a deep knowledge of Mandarin in all its aspects listening, speaking, reading and writing;
• want to learn Mandarin fast and to the fullest;
• prefer to review and practice in the classroom rather than only at home.
Express 30 Course
The increasing importance of HSK has been the reason to design our Express Course. It is undoubtedly the fastest way to pass your HSK exams with good results. In this course we stretch the student’s language skills to the fullest. The class size is with 4 students small.
The Express course is best suited for those who:
• want to sign up for University or apply for a job and now need to pass HSK 4 or 5 as fast as possible;
• quickly need to acquire extra ‘HSK-points’ to get their VISA under the latest VISA rules;
• want to challenge themselves and see how fast they can master Mandarin.

Our Curriculum 2 PLUS 1

Our Summer Camp is ideal for parents who want to give their children a head start in learning Mandarin and get to know China! They will be immersed not only in the Chinese language but as much so in its culture. We specialise in providing a safe, fun, motivating, and educational environment for all kids. Our full time camp is best suited for children in the age of 13 - 17 yrs.

Silk Mandarin's Suzhou school is located in the center of Suzhou's SIP. That means they are conveniently accessed by public transit and have a variety of shops, bars, and restaurants close at hand. Apart from the great location, Silk Mandarin offers excellent instruction in the Chinese language. The staff are professional and extremely helpful, willing to find programs that suit your individual goals. I have seen my Chinese skills improve very much during my time with them. This includes reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills. The materials they offer to students are modern and extremely useful for practicing at home. I strongly recommend Silk Mandarin to anybody interested in improving their Mandarin skills!

Very good and modern school in Shanghai (China). They have excellent teachers. They are centrally located in Jing'an area, and in a very modern building with air conditioning, touchscreen, convenience store in the ground floor so you can get your lunch onsite.
They offer tea, coffee, and have a microwave so you can heat your lunch/snacks.
The learning method is very modern and the teacher very friendly and competent.
I don't see any bad point about about this school, only positive things

This course was brilliant. I learnt so much in such short space of time. I'm not a languages person but everyone comments on how much I have improved. The whole team at silk mandarin are great. My teacher was such a lovely person. She constantly made the classes fun while also being kind, understanding and extremely patient! I have recommended these classes to all my friends already. It's great for all levels!

I have had 2 teachers during my 100 hours of HSK1 and 2. Both excellent teachers. Very good English speakers, patient, trying to find the easiest ways to make me understand characters and grammar. The exercise books are also very helpful for revisions.

I first noticed Silk Mandarin when i saw them at their booth at the yearly Expat fair in Jing’an (downtown Shanghai). I had tried other Chinese schools before so it didn’t really get my attention at first but then i saw 3 familiar foreign faces on their billboards advocating about the school. After a great talk with Silk Mandarin at their booth i phoned the 3 faces from the billboards just to be sure that this school would be different and better that the other ones i had tried. They all confirmed it and after being a student at Silk for a little over a year i can say that i surely have been more than happy with their way of teaching. My teacher Yanqin has been way above all expectations. What i love most about our classes is that she gives me the time and attention to go over whatever question i could have in Chinese instead of strictly sticking to the book and curriculum. She’s always smiling and that energy just makes it a true pleasure to go to class every time!

I take here HSK2 language course. Two times per week in a small course. The teaching standard is very high and totally fun. Teachers and staff are super motivated and flexible. The school recently moved up to 16th floor to brand new space. I’m recommending this school to my friends.

I had classes during almost a year once a week. My teacher Was amazing. Always very energetic, positive, passionate with her job and really patient! She is very talented to teach language. I learned a lot with her. She is quite well structured, method is efficient, and always available when I have a question. The school is very welcoming and professional. I really enjoyed the method which gave me a great learning experience mixing interactions, reading and listening - I will definitely continue my learning with Silk Mandarin.

The course consists of good useful themes, valuable for living in the country.
I was very lucky to have my teacher Hailey. She is very patient.
I, as working person, can't spend enough time for systematic review. But she always explained me the theme very clearly and as much as I needed to understand.
It's very necessary to have someone, who can help you with language in real life. This kind of person is my teacher. She helps me all the time, not only working hours.
Furthermore, school proposes different kids of extra activities for learning culture, not only Chinese language. For example, for me playing Mangjong was very fascinating
I'd like to have more time for each theme to practice. Also it would be good to include more pinyin pronunciation practice into the book.

I have been a student at Silk Mandarin in Shanghai for 7 months. My choice could not be more appropriate.
Amy and all the staff has been friendly and exhaustive introducing me the school.
After a trial lesson I have started one to one sessions twice a week, with my super teacher Yanqin.
Every class is perfectly managed with a clear structure and you can feel the knowledge and the competence of the teacher. She is ready to answer to all my questions and makes me feel at ease to speak.
The slow motion method is great and makes easier to build up sentences; also the other tools recommended by the school, such as cards and pen reader are useful and help you a lot while studying to get the right pronunciation.
Silk Mandarin has made me feel in love with Chinese language and culture to the point that now that I have moved back to Italy, I am still having remote classes using the ClassIn app, which is an amazing e-learning platform, and I am willing to take the HSK examinations.
I definitely recommend Silk Mandarin: a high standard, professional, experienced and welcoming school.
