Wirral Metropolitan College is a large, state funded college with a total student population of 10,500. The College is subject to inspection by OFSTED and has been accredited by the British Council. We are based in two main sites in Birkenhead, on the Wirral in the North West of England. Liverpool City Centre is only a five minute train ride away. As well as having our own diverse Higher Education (HE) portfolio, Wirral Metropolitan College has strong links with universities and other educational establishments with the UK, providing excellent progression opportunities for our students. The College enjoys a reputation, both locally and internationally, for high standards of teaching and achievement of professional qualifications. We deliver a vast range of courses in a variety of subjects including Business and Management, Construction, English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), Engineering, Hair and Beauty, Health and Safety - NEBOSH, Health and Social Care, Hospitality and Catering, Teacher Education, Information Technology and many more, including progression courses to Higher Education and Foundation Degrees.
