Student life

Studied englsh at UAL was a great experience mainly because of the city. I have to say that I took advantage of the facilities the UAL campus provided. I visit frequently visited the main library, I used the study facilities of the campus located on King Cross and I asked my one to one teacher to change our classroom and go to each of the buildings of UAL. However my General English clases were quite regular. Always in the same small classroom in Holdborn and having the same English class that I had for years in the British council in My country. I think learn a new language is also Learn about culture, people, trends, history, etc and my experience with my general classes wasn't like that. It was the typical classroom situation. As English student at UAL you aren't able to feel the environment of the college or neither to experiment student life at UAL. Is an isolate experience you don't interact with other students or teachers or classes. It is possible to do it and I did it but the course and facilitators don't encourage that exchange unless you pay for additional classes.

University of the Arts London - Language Centre

Hi Patricia, many thanks for your review. Students are encouraged to join University clubs and societies, which is a fantastic way to become part of UAL and make new friends. We are sorry to hear that you feel the English classes were quite regular as we are very proud of our well-qualified teachers, who use creative resources to engage our students. We were recently ranked as the No. 1 Language Centre in London, based on British Council results. We hope you had a positive experience overall.
