Intensive English Program Description: The ESL Program mission is to provide academic ESL instruction and cultural orientation for English language learners who are interested in pursuing degrees at the University of Texas at San Antonio or other US North American institutions or who are interested in improving their English proficiency for professional reasons. The ESL Program Offers: Small classes (10-15 students average) / Experienced, trained professional ESL teachers / Computer lab for Reading and Writing classes / Library and Internet privileges / Institutional TOEFL twice a semester / On Campus housing / UTSA offers conditional admission for undergraduate students (only) with no TOEFL or low TOEFL scores. Our goal in the ESL Program is for our ESL students to increase their abilities and confidence in English, as well as to experience what a US classroom is really like. The ESL Program forms a partnership between motivated students, qualified instructors and a supportive university community so that students can use English to achieve their dreams. Students will study Writing/Grammar, Reading/Vocabulary, Oral Communication, and TOEFL. Our commission rate is 20% of IEP tuition per semester of study.
