What is TOEIC?
TOEIC (or Test of English for International Communication) as ETS who issue the test claims “has been the global standard for measuring workplace English-language communication skills for more than 30 years.” This test is recognized globally and commonly used as a verification of the ability to communicate in English in the work place by many employers around the world.
Who is TOEIC for?
TOEIC is aimed at anyone who wants to work abroad in an English speaking country or in a company where English is the officially used language and some kind of verification is required. Learning for this test and passing it will help you feel more confident and prepared in the work place.
There are three TOEIC tests – the TOEIC Listening and Reading test, which measures the skills of reading and listing and is paper-based and multiple-choice test (A1-C1), the TOEIC Speaking and Writing test, which measures the skills of speaking and writing and is taken online (A1-C1) and the TOEIC Bridge test, which measures skills of reading and listening and is a multiple-choice, paper-based test (A1-B1).
