You can find out more about IELTS on the British Council Take IELTS website. The course is also suitable for those who wish to prepare for the Trinity ISE II or ISE III, which is also taken by students for academic study and employability – find out more on the Trinity College website.

What will I study? The course will cover all four skills tested in IELTS and ISE exams; reading, writing, listening and speaking, using a range of materials including test questions. You will also cover the language (grammar, vocabulary etc.,) required for a good score in the exam, and in English generally at this level.

My English isn’t good, can I still do this course? Most students doing this courses are aiming to achieve scores of 6.5 or above in an Academic IELTS exam, or ISE II or III. We therefore recommend that students are ready to study at B2 level (UK Skills for Life ESOL level 1) before starting the course. Before you register for the course, we will arrange a test to check your level.
How much does it cost? £480 including a course book. Fees can be paid in cash at our office or online via bank transfer (see fees). It is also possible to pay in instalments via direct debit – the fee must be paid in full by the middle of the course.
