Action Language Pro Newcastle is accredited by the British Council to provide quality English courses at affordable prices in the heart of Newcastle. We also offer courses at our base in the centre of Sunderland – for full information about the range of courses we offer, please see courses.
Action Language Pro is a sub-project which supports registered charity Action Foundation. Action Foundation was established in 2006 and provides English classes and supported housing to refugees, asylum seekers and other migrants in Tyne and Wear. IELTS and Trinity ISE Preparation

The course will start at our accredited school in Newcastle week beginning 10 July 2017 and end 1 September 2017 – 8 weeks of classes.
The course will run on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, 10:00 to 13:00 from Tuesday 11 July to Friday 1 September
If you would prefer to take this course at our premises in Sunderland or elsewhere, please contact us. This is dependent on student demand
Please note that each class ‘hour’ is 55 minutes, to allow for a short break in the middle of each class. This allows 11 hours of taught class time each week, for 8 weeks.
What can I prepare for? This course prepares students for the academic IELTS exam, a globally recognised exam taken by students who plan to study or work in English. You can find out more about IELTS on the British Council Take IELTS website. The course is also suitable for those who wish to prepare for the Trinity ISE II or ISE III, which is also taken by students for academic study and employability – find out more on the Trinity College website.
What will I study? The course will cover all four skills tested in IELTS and ISE exams; reading, writing, listening and speaking, using a range of materials including test questions. You will also cover the language (grammar, vocabulary etc.,) required for a good score in the exam, and in English generally at this level.
My English isn’t good, can I still do this course? Most students doing this courses are aiming to achieve scores of 6.5 or above in an Academic IELTS exam, or ISE II or III. We therefore recommend that students are ready to study at B2 level (UK Skills for Life ESOL level 1) before starting the course. Before you register for the course, we will arrange a test to check your level.
How much does it cost? £480 including a course book. Fees can be paid in cash at our office or online via bank transfer (see fees). It is also possible to pay in instalments via direct debit – the fee must be paid in full by the middle of the course.

What is Cambridge English: First preparation? Action Language Cambridge English: First preparation prepares student for the Cambridge English: First (FCE) exam, an internationally recognised exam taken by students who plan to study or work in English. The test covers general and academic English at B2 level (for good independent users of English)
