Horner School of English is a family run company established in 1993. Located in the centre of Dublin the school has two historic buildings with 17 modern classrooms, a coffee shop, a city garden, a computer room and a library. A wide range of business, examination and general courses are available throughout the year commencing every Monday. All classes are internationally mixed in small groups of max 14 students, average 10-12 students per class. Accommodation includes: Horner School Residence & Dorset Point Residence (available throughout the year), Host families, NEW Summer university residence with private bathrooms (20 minutes from school). The school arranges a social programme including full day & weekend coach tours, afternoon cultural visits and evening social activities, throughout the year.

Our Standard English course in Dublin City aims to improve your overall English language proficiency. The first class session (09.30 – 11.10) will focus on your knowledge of grammar & vocabulary. The second class session (11.30 – 13.10) will concentrate more on your listening and speaking ability. Language skills are practiced using real situations and everyday tasks. Highly trained native English teachers and small international class groupings allow students to make rapid progress. Written homework is set and marked each week. Language assessments and progress tests are completed every week in class.

The SIC25 – Semi Intensive English Course for Teachers, provides 20 group lessons in the mornings with 5 individual (private) lessons in the afternoons. The morning class (Standard Course 20 lessons) aims to improve your competence in general English skills. The afternoon lessons (private lessons) are tailored to your specific requirements.
During the afternoon private lessons you might wish to focus on a particular skill, such as your speaking. And/Or you may prefer to focus on a particular “Practical Skills” topic.

The Horner is an excellent school! I've had new friends around the world, I've learned and improved my English very well. I participated in so many social activities which organised by the school. I spent my 6 months in the horner school and i really enjoyed it.
Classes in the school were very useful, interactive and not crowded at all which is really important.
The academic staff is just amazing, friendly and the most important thing about the staff is they are really qualified teachers.
Moreover, the administration staff is amazingly helpful, friendly and understanding people. I have to say that they helped me about my personal problems even though they did not even have to. Also i need to say i never felt like just a customer, they made me feel like at home.
Last of all, i recommend strongly this school 100% for quality, dynamism and especially friendly environment. I believe you will not be disappointed.
