About Academia Iria Flavia
Academia Iria Flavia, founded in 1994, is a small, family-like school located in Santiago de Compostela at a 2-minute walk from the historic district of the city. It offers 6 classrooms and 10 computers with free Internet access for students and wi-fi connection in all the facilities. The total number of students can reach 90. Average group size is 5, maximum is 8. It is very easy, therefore, to contact all the school staff, both teachers and administrative or managerial. Actually, relation with teachers is one of the most important values the students find at the school, both in and out of the classroom. In order to select our teachers, we assess their training and professionalism, but also their human qualities: friendliness, capacity to create a good atmosphere in the classroom and their liking “giving a hand” in and out of the school All these points sum up to reach our objective: helping the students learn Spanish in a relaxed, familiar and entertaining environment. Accredited Centre by Instituto Cervantes and member of FEDELE. Approved by Swedish CSN and German Bildungsurlaub. US College Credits can be gained through AIF courses. General programmes: Standard, Intensive, One-to-one, Combined... Special programmes: Spanish on El Camino de Santiago (Pilgrim's Way / Jakobsweg), Spanish + Internship, Courses for teenagers (group programmes).

General Spanish (focused on communicative and social Spanish topics) is especially recommended for students wanting to improve their general language level in the short term.
Professional Spanish (focused on everyday business situations and on social communication in professional environments like presentations, negotiations, meetings and so on) is especially recommended for students wanting to improve their general language level in the short term, as can be the preparation of a trip, assistance at work, or simply the general improvement of level through themes of business world.
Both General and Professional Spanish consist of two sections as intensive as you like:

Do not go to this school. They portrait a very different picture of the experience at this school than What is actually delivered. This school has played me like a fool and takes advantage of the fact that once students are there, they cannot leave easily. They reduced my course hours without communicating, whilst making me believe that the course was full. They promised 4-6 roommates in the shared living arrangements, whilst they only deliver houses with one roommate. They advertise daily after school acticities. As a matter of fact, they only deliver two or three! They are simply malicious and they have dealt with this zituation terribly. Please refrain from booking here!!! Book something else!
