Boise State University's Intensive English Program (IEP) is located on the campus of Boise State University, in Boise, Idaho, USA. The IEP offers 5 levels of reading, writing, grammar, speaking and listening courses for students who want to improve their English language skills. The program also includes fun cultural activities and elective courses, including American Conversation Partners and TOEFL preparation. The IEP offers a Language Bridge program for upper-level students who are ready to take some university undergraduate courses with their language classes and conditional admission to the university's undergraduate programs for eligible IEP applicants. The Intensive English Program at Boise State University is a full-time, academic program that prepares students for university degree programs, professional careers, and personal enrichment. Intensive English Program students attend classes for 20 hours a week, Monday-Friday. Classes are offered in two eight-week sessions during the fall/spring and one eight-week session in the summer.
The Intensive English Program also offers a Language Bridge Program for students who are ready to begin taking a few university courses while they are finishing their English language study.
The Language Bridge Program combines English language courses with university undergraduate courses and allows students to begin earning credits towards their degree while they are still in the Intensive English Program. Students must study in the Intensive English Program for at least 8 weeks to be eligible for the Language Bridge Program and must meet the Language Bridge Program grade and attendance requirements.
