We offer two programs for English teacher training: the CELTA certificate and customized programs.
The CELTA is the most widely recognized TESL/TEFL certificate in the world, administered through Cambridge University. It is an initial certificate, typically for people with their BAs but also for people with advanced degrees that are not English teaching degrees. The CELTA is highly regarded around the world because of its high standards and rigorous assessments. It is one of the few certificate programs that involve practice teaching.
We also offer customized teacher training programs for organized groups of 10 or more. These 4- to 6-week programs are designed to address the needs of TEFL teachers in primary, secondary, and university-level education in their home country context. In addition to coursework, our customized programs include classroom observations, volunteering, and local field trips.

My experience in ESL Service

I had been studying English in Japan, and I was not good at English such as listening and speaking because my study of English in Japan had been only for test. If you want to be able to 'use' English, I think this program is great for you.

The students are divided into classes by the level of each English skill, so you can take your classes which are fit your level exactly. Moreover, the classes at UT are more practical than Japan. I think the classes are really for the non-native speaker. They focus on how each student is able to use English fluently. For example, I was commented on my pronunciation for the first time in my audio assignment. In my speaking class, we often practiced speaking English rhythmically with good intonation. The teachers are so devoted to instructing us, and their explanations to the student's questions are always easy to understand because they use simple words and speak clearly.

This ESL program is helpful for not only studying English but also living in Austin comfortably and having a lot of experiences. When I came here, the cultural ambassador of ESL program guided Austin such as where the convenient stores are to buy foods. Even after starting classes, they planed many events or trips to other cities every week, so you must be able to enjoy your daily life in the USA.

Even though I stayed here for only three months, I spent very substantial time here.

The most serious ESL program

I love study here! The opportunity to experience many cultures besides the American one and meet people from all over, plus the UT teachers, environment, resources and seriousness of the ESL program, tell me that I made the best choice. Here is the place that you will really learn English does not matter what is your current level or your difficulties.

I have been a good time !

I recommend studying University of Texas at UT ESL. This language school helps student to get accustomed to living in a new culture. For example, as one of their program, it is called Friendship program that gives friends who are University of Texas students or workers in Austin to ESL student. On the other hands, ESL teachers are super kind and they make an effort for their students. I strongly make sure you would like this school.
