San José State University is located in downtown sunny San José, the center of Silicon Valley. More than 30,000 students are enrolled at SJSU, which offers both undergraduate and graduate degrees, and over 145 areas of study.

International Gateways is San José State University’s provider of English language programs. Since 1975, we have been delivering exceptional language instruction, cultural experiences and support services to international students and visitors.

Our location in Silicon Valley allows students to experience the high tech industry’s environment and people through innovation competitions and guest lectures from entrepreneurs and industry experts.

At International Gateways, we host several activities – sports nights, Conversation Club and field trips –to make it easy for students to make friends. And for those who want to explore off-campus, we are located just one hour from San Francisco to the north and the beaches of Santa Cruz to the south.
