CCEL's English for Academic Purposes (EAP) - Pathway to UC and UCIC courses are for students who want to:
- improve their academic English skills for tertiary study in an English speaking country
- gain direct entry (without IELTS) into CCEL's partner institution, the University of Canterbury (UC) and UC International College (UCIC)*
*Students who successfully complete an EAP 1 course at CCEL (and meet UCIC's academic entry requirements) can transfer to UCIC's MEAP or UTP programmes without taking IELTS.
*Students who successfully complete and EAP2 course at CCEL (and meet UC's academic entry requirements) can transfer to one of their undergraduate degree or postgraduate degree programmes without taking IELTS.
