Spring International Language Center offers English language courses and cross-cultural education. Our aim is to encourage our students and help them to succeed in their language goals, to provide them with a pleasant welcoming study environment, highly qualified and experienced teachers.

Spring International Language Center's Intensive English Program is a 25-hour-per-week program specifically designed to:

• Prepare international students to enter U.S. colleges and universities
• Assist professionals who desire to strengthen their English language skills
• Teach anyone who seeks to improve their English communication skills


Each 9-week session will help students to:

• Listen more accurately and speak more fluently
• Read faster with greater comprehension and write more clearly and correctly
• Improve pronunciation and understandability

After a placement test, students will start at one of six levels ranging from beginning to advanced.

Courses include:

• Reading, Writing, and Vocabulary Development
• Listening, Speaking, and Pronunciation Improvement
• English Grammar Skills
• Conversational Skills
• Audio-lingual Lab and Computer Lab

In addition, advanced levels emphasize:

• Academic Preparation
• Public Speaking and Debate
• Business English
• Advanced Vocabulary and Grammar
• Test-Taking Workshops in TOEFL, GMAT, and GRE Prep (extra fee)
• Special Seminars on Cultural and Academic Topics
• College Placement Assistance
• Enrollment in University Courses for Academically Qualified Students

at the University of Arkansas
Our EducationUSA Academy summer programs are for international high school students between ages 15-17 who will receive an opportunity to:

Participate in intensive interactive English language classes
Improve their speaking with Conversation Partners
Interact with American high school students in other summer programs
Prepare for college in the US higher education system
Learn about all fields of study, including: STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Math); Business, Supply Chain Management, Agriculture, Medicine, International Relations, and many, many more..
Experience a Model United Nations simulation
Enjoy a variety of recreational, social, and cultural activities

The three-week EducationUSA Academy will offer 25 hours per week of intensive English language instruction for intermediate and advanced students of English. The English language component will include instruction in academic reading, writing, and oral language skills to prepare you for college courses. Courses will be interactive and integrate critical thinking, working in teams, and leadership training. You will learn the core values taught in the context of American educational systems and US academic culture.

Guest speakers will help students learn about different types of higher education institutions, the university admission process, cultural adjustment, and the skills necessary to thrive in the US academic environment.

There will also be visits to several types of college and university institutions in the state including a major research university, a minority serving institution, a private liberal arts college, a community college, a technical college, and a medical training college.

Your EducationUSA Academy with us will also teach you more about US culture, give you a chance to become more familiar with the community, and provide an opportunity to experience service learning.

Outside of the classroom, you will also have an opportunity to enjoy the natural beauty of Arkansas and relax with fun local activities.

Recreational activities may include:
Hiking in nearby state parks
Canoeing on local rivers
Camping
Visiting a wildlife refuge
Concerts and picnics in the park
Ice skating
Movies and bowling with UA student conversation partners
