The University offers a range of pre-sessional English courses to help international students develop their English skills before they begin their degree. You can start a University of Bedfordshire English course at different times during the year. The university tries to put new students together so a group starts and finishes the course all together. However, if a new group is small, we might place new students in an existing class.

The Department of Teacher Education is an accredited training provider for Initial Teacher Training (ITT) courses. It complies with the National College for Teaching and Leadership (NCTL) requirements, and offers a range of early years, primary, secondary and post compulsory education courses which meet the teachers’ standards. It provides courses which can lead to Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS) and Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS).
