This unit is designed for non-native speakers of English at C1/C2 levels who wish to develop their English language communication skills further. Within the theme of ‘Roots and Routes’, we will consider issues of language and identity through reading, discussion and linguistic analysis of core texts. You will be given the opportunity to improve your oral English through discussion and presentations, and your written English through the production and revision of written texts. Overall, the unit seeks to consolidate competence in the analysis and communicative use of English.

Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (CELTA) is a practically-oriented, intensive, four-week training course designed to provide you with the skills and accreditation needed to teach the English language to adults.
