The International Pathways Centre is recognised by the British Council as a Centre of Excellence.

The English language courses provided by IPLC are designed to prepare you for academic success and to help you to settle into university life. We provide a wide range of courses through the year that are suited to your individual academic needs and when you would like to commence your studies at Brunel.

Class Sizes: Large, 11-20 students

Weekly Hours: General 15-25 hrs/wk

The English@Brunel programme has been designed to improve your general and academic English to prepare you for academic study in the UK. Classes will include modules on:

- General English
- Academic reading, writing and research skills
- Listening and note taking
- Seminar skills
- Pronunciation and presentation skills

The Pre-sessional English course has been designed to provide you with English language support before the start of your academic studies at Brunel. We provide a friendly and supportive learning environment, in which you will have the opportunity to improve your language skills, make friends and settle into life at Brunel and the UK.

If you have already met the English requirements for your academic programme, we offer a 4-week pre-sessional course that has been specifically designed to enhance your academic skills prior to your studies.
