North London School of English is a small but fast developing English school. Our history begins back in 2011 when the foundation stone was laid at our future big school. We have started as a group of teachers with rich experience and academic background providing private classes only. Receiving great feedback from our students helped us to expand our operation and today we are pleased to offer a wide range of courses both in from of one to one and group classes.
At the moment we are a lively vibrant school which provides learners with General English courses, various exam preparation courses (IELTS, CAE, FCE, and CPE), English for Specific Purposes suitable for professionals and finally courses suitable for young adults ( GSCE and Key Stages).
Today we are happy to say, our wide range of good quality and well taught courses attracted a big number of students in a short period of time from all over the world and the number of our students has doubled since last year.

NLSEnglish General English courses are designed according to the highest standards and suitable for those who wish to improve their ability to communicate effectively in real-life situations in English.
Our available levels are Elementary (A1/A1+), Pre-Intermediate (A2), Intermediate (B1), Upper-Intermediate (B2) & Advanced (C1).
Our teachers use current developments in English language teaching, implementing a variety of activities to develop students’ confidence and use of all four skills – Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking.
The main focus of the courses is to engage students in conversations using real-life vocabulary and structures.
Students can also select a course of a certain length depending on their needs. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced language user, we will always find the most suitable class for you.
You will experience a friendly, vibrant atmosphere for studying with international students of the same level. Our teachers will engage you in participation and communication with your classmates, and of course English is the only language to be used in the class!

Overview
FCE is an Upper-Intermediate (B2) qualification in English language and a perfect choice when students plan to migrate, study or work abroad building up a career which requires highly developed language skills.

Who is this course for?
This course is for those who are aiming to take the FCE exam and also to improve their language competence in English.
What will you achieve?
By the end of the course you will be able to deal with the tasks in all exam sections (reading, writing, use of English, listening and speaking). You will also have an opportunity to practise for the exam and improve your General English as well.
You will learn how to work with various types of text as well as how to apply sufficient skills, such as using context to deal with unfamiliar vocabulary.
You will also work on writing skills to compose letters, reports and essays on different topics, applying appropriate language, academic structures and linking words.
You will be taught how to deal with various situations in listening tasks and tasks such as listening for specific information.

What will you achieve?

You will have started work on all four skills, Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening.

Who is this course for?
This course is for those who wish to improve their accent and more importantly their pronunciation in English. During these 15 hours, students will be introduced to phonetic sounds in English and will be taught about their differences. What will you achieve?

If you enrol on this course you will learn many job-specific skills such as writing headlines and the best use of language in advertisements.
What will you achieve?
By the end of this course you will have absorbed a large number of technical terms enabling you to engage comfortably in any media-related conversations, whether for work or just for enjoyment. This course should help students to engage more easily with newspapers, radio, TV, magazines and films.

Who is this course for?
This is a concise English course suitable for people who need to attend meetings in the English language. This course presents a number of language concepts used in the context of meetings in English; the course also covers cultural norms in this regard. This course is intended for individuals who work in secretarial or administrative jobs. By the end of this course students should feel more comfortable speaking in English, both on and off the telephone. They will be given audio extracts and hands-on exercises over the period of the course.
