studied English Summer CoursesESL Courses
Important classes to take before you start the regular courses at UWEC. The professors will teach you new strategies of learning and language skills but also about the history and culture of Wisconsin.
My group took the classes at the Centennial Hall, the newest building on campus. So, the facilities were very good!

In the beginning I thought that my classes would be like: Grammar, Listening, Writing... However they have a different way to teach English. You will learn English without notice. Good professors!

studied General EnglishESL
When I arrived to the United States I couldn't understand very well what people were saying. I was also shy to speak in public. So, when I started the ESL class I learned a lot with all my professors. We did a lot of presentations which helped me to control my shyness.

studied English Academic preparationEnglish as Second Language
The professors create a communicative way of learning, which means that the student applies the knowledge received in class to a specific academic environment. Improvements are clear in pronunciation, writing, grammar and reading, besides the daily practice of listening. As future academic students it is important to learn the adequate vocabulary.and behavior. The ESL classes walk together to the requirements in the Academic program.
