The University of Idaho American Language and Culture Program (ALCP) is an intensive English language program designed to help students develop the skills necessary to succeed in academic programs in the United States or to further their professional careers. Since its beginning in 1992, the ALCP has helped hundreds of students improve their English language abilities.

The University of Idaho American Language and Culture Program (ALCP) is an intensive English language program designed to help students develop the skills necessary to succeed in academic programs in the United States or to further their professional careers. The ALCP provides six levels of English courses (Level 1 being the lowest English proficiency level and Level 6 being the highest English proficiency level). Students advance to higher levels as they progress through the program and gain English proficiency in listening, speaking, reading, grammar, composition and academic skills.
