Students can select from classes on many subjects such as Science, American Film, Publishing a Newspaper, Academic Research & Writing, etc. We also have TOEFL & TOEIC prep classes. HELP's four 8-week sessions occur during the US university calendar: two in Fall, and two in Spring. Spring Sessions begin in January and April, with Fall Sessions in August and October. Students spend four days in classroom instruction each week, in addition to a weekly 2-hour online environment-themed course: GoGREEN! HELP also has two 4-week sessions in Summer, beginning in June and July. HELP students have many opportunities to meet University of Hawaii students by participating in cultural and athletic events on campus. HELP faculty are dedicated and experienced ESL instructors who use current teaching methods which encourage students to practice English for use in academic and real-life situations.
