About United World School of English
Established in 1998, United World is a British Council accredited school situated in the cosmopolitan town centre of Bournemouth on the south coast of England. Its seven miles of sandy beaches and beautiful surrounding forest make it an ideal location to study and relax. Our school is in an ideally situated just 5 minutes' walk from the beach and town centre.
The popularity of United World lies in our desire to listen to students and offer flexible courses at an affordable price. We are one of the most competitively priced schools in Bournemouth. However, we do not compromise on quality. All of our teachers are CELTA qualified and half also hold the DELTA qualification. We use the latest teaching materials and C-Touch interactive screen technology.
Our objective is to develop a course based on your individual requirements, whether you are aiming to learn English for career development opportunities, a course at university or simply for pleasure.
In order to complete your English experience we run cultural and sporting activities during the afternoons and evenings, such as beach volleyball, football, salsa dancing, movie night and school magazine club, to name but a few. A variety of excursions are run on weekday afternoons and weekends. Here you will have the opportunity to visit local attractions such as the World Heritage site of the Jurassic Coast, the New Forest or the historic towns of Poole and Christchurch. Destinations further afield include London, Oxford, Cambridge and Bath. Students who attend United World come from all over the world and many make friends for life. Our minimum age requirement is 14 for June, July and August and 16 the rest of the year. All you need is a desire to learn.

studied General EnglishB1
I am a Spanish student and I am 16 years old.
Two years ago I went to United World to have one of the best experiences of my life. This year I have repeated and will repeat many more years.
My stay with the Host Family has been incredible , they have been very important in my improvement with the language. They were always aware of me , my needs and I liked the most is that in the afternoons and on weekends they took me to different places to get to know the city and English culture. I have felt at home.
Throughout my learning with English I have gone to many academies but I was not satisfied , I didn’t learn much and the teachers were not the most appropriate.
After lessons at United world I have improved my English a lot. After coming from Bournemouth, at my school in Spain , in the English subject I have obtained better marks than in previous years.
During the last month I have greatly improved my vocabulary, grammar and speaking. The teachers I have had at United World have been Ben and Tamara and without a doubt they have been the best English teachers I have ever had. They are adapted to the needs of each student, the explain everything in different ways, so that all students can learn. I would also like to highlight the games in pairs and in groups that we did to learn in a more fun way. The lessons went by very quickly, they were not boring, I had fun and learned a lot.
In Spain the classes are very slow , boring and I did not learn the contents in the best way.
After class the academy organized different activities such as Afternoon Tea, BBQ, crazy golf, laser quest, rock climbing etc…
So that students from different countries could get to know each other and at the same time practice the language. These activities seemed very fun and successful.
Finally, I would like to highlight the entire United World team that has undoubtedly been very important to me throughout my experience since they always care so that we students feel at home. Again, it has been one of the best experiences of my life. I repeated for many years.
THANKS UNITED WORLD, SEE YOU SOON!!!!!!
