Our English programs meet the TAFE NSW English language entry requirements and provide preparation for a wide range of courses at TAFE NSW Sydney Institute. When you complete the TAFE Certificate III in Advanced "English for Further Study" you may apply for a range of higher-level courses without needing to provide an International English Language Testing System (IELTS) test result or any other international test result.
International students study alongside Australian students and may choose from over 120 certificate, diploma and advanced diploma courses in areas such as: building and construction, business, accounting, marketing, advertising, information technology, engineering, interpreting, fashion, beauty, design, events, tourism, hospitality, health and sports, dental studies, nursing, nutrition and property services.

Begin your study with an 'English-only' program to gain an English language certificate. This will give you the qualification for, and the time to think about, your next course of study. Save on fees when you complete your course. If you enrol in a TAFE NSW course within 6 months of finishing an 'English-only' program, you may be eligible for an "English + TAFE" package fee discount. If the package fees are lower than the fees you paid, we will then transfer the difference towards your TAFE course (conditions apply).

This course is for students aged: 16-70
Holiday programs for groups of schoolchildren of any age, accompanied by adult carers if they are under 18 years old, can be organised to include English language tuition, cultural experience, homestay with Australian families and recreational activities. Young visitors can meet their peers from other countries who study in our English Preparation for High School program, to enhance their inter-cultural experience.
Short programs during college vacation times can be focused on specific academic areas and/or skills for overseas college or university students and staff. Alternatively, they can concentrate on the development of general communication skills in a more relaxed study environment, combined with a cultural and recreational program. Homestay with Australian families can enrich the Australian cultural experience and provide more opportunities for practicing everyday English.
