About North Central College
Founded in 1861, North Central College awards Bachelor's degrees in over 55 majors and Master's degrees in six. The English Language Institute at North Central offers full-time intensive English and a conditional admission pathway. Pre-professional programs in health sciences and engineering are also offered. Popular programs include Actuarial Science, Biology, Biochemistry, Business, Chemistry, Interactive Media Studies and Psychology. The low student-to-faculty ratio (15:1) and small classes taught only by faculty encourage close interaction between students and professors. Students are encouraged to pursue independent research as well as internship opportunities. Easily reached by plane, train or car, our campus is just 30 minutes from downtown Chicago and O'Hare International Airport and just a two-minute walk from downtown Naperville, Illinois and the train station. Our 3,000 students from 28 states and 40 countries enjoy a safe, suburban campus community with easy access to the resources of Chicago. NCC staff provide airport pick-up and orientation for all new international students as well as ongoing immigration advising and support. Over 60 student organizations offer excellent opportunities for students to get involved. On-campus housing is available to international students in North Central's twelve residence halls. North Central College is fully accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools and ranked #14 in the Midwest by U.S. News & World Report in the Regional Universities category. Merit-based scholarships are available to qualified international undergraduate students.
