The Location
Only 50 minutes from London by train, it is 5 minutes’ walk from the beach and from Hove train station. Shops, coffee houses, pubs, restaurants and a leisure centre are all nearby.
The School
The school is spread over two campuses each within a 10 minute walk of each other. The Ventnor Villa campus occupies a Victorian building with a garden on a quiet street in Hove, an exclusive residential area of Brighton. It is 5 minutes’ walk from the beach and from Hove train station. Shops, coffee houses, pubs, restaurants and a leisure centre are all nearby.
Our Portland Road campus is housed in four elegant Victorian interconnecting townhouses. The new facilities include 18 classrooms, a large student lounge that can seat 50 students and a large patio garden with space for over 100 students. There is also a student kitchen and a computer lab.
The Lifestyle
The social programme includes parties and barbecues, quiz and games nights, nightclubs and discos, day and weekend trips to London and other parts of Britain and Europe. Activities such as golf and horse riding can also be arranged.

During the lessons you rapidly improve your communication skills in a variety of everyday situations. Classes cover grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, speaking, listening, reading and writing. You use a text book and a wide variety of materials and exercises including role-plays, authentic materials, newspapers, magazines, YouTube and other internet content.
Intensive Courses
LSI offers 24 or 30 lesson options per week on our Intensive courses. All our intensive courses follow the General 20 course in the morning (lessons 1–4). During the afternoon lessons (lessons 5–6) there are a range of electives to suit all levels, needs and interests.
Intensive 24 afternoon lessons run twice weekly whereas Intensive 30 runs every afternoon. Please check the relevant school page to see which lesson options and electives are offered at that school.

Brighton is ideally located for exploring the best of the UK with London just a 50 minute train journey away.
The School
Our school is located in a quiet street close to shops, cafes, leisure centre and the beach. Combining structured morning classes with stimulating afternoon activities, there will be ample opportunity to improve your English whilst making friends with an international array of fellow students. Organised weekend excursions are also included as part of this popular course.
