Great Online Spanish Classes

I was looking into visiting Panama to take classes with Habla Ya, but then covid-19 made that impossible. But, Habla Ya quickly offered online classes via Zoom, and I am so glad I signed up. I initially signed up for one week of group classes (4 hours/day), but decided to sign up for four more weeks of private lessons (2 hours/day) because I enjoyed studying with my instructor, Kimberley, so much. Taking private classes with Kimberley was great because she tailored everything for my level and preferences. It was fun to work on conversational skills by talking about everything going on in Panama and the U.S. and the world. Talking to Kimberley and hearing about Panama made me sad to miss the opportunity to visit, but it was still a fun way to learn about the country while working on my Spanish.

Habla Ya quickly adapted to online classes and was great with support and communication.

I highly recommend signing up for classes while quarantined, it was always the highlight of my day.

Group Classes with Kimberly

I had Kimberly for a group instructor in Bocas for the week of March 9th. She was wonderful. She had a great way of explaining concepts. She clarified topics for me that I have previously struggled with. I would recommend her to anyone.

A Fine Experience

I appreciated the enrolment process - on line testing to see what class would be best for me - payment methods - attention to my on line requests and questions - setting up a homestay. They accommodated my change in plans without hesitation.
The teachers were very very good. There was lots of time for conversation as well as the specific learnings. Humour and laughter made the classes more enjoyable. I learned a lot.
My homestay was just fine. The host was very attentive and hospitable, taking me on outings of her own.
I only took advantage of the movie night and the Panamanian dinner which were fine but I can't comment on the other offerings.
I wholeheartedly recommend HablaYa.

Profesor Erian

Aqui mi comentario de Erian que era mi profesor en Boquete por 2 semanas. Tenía 3 horas clases individuales cada dia.
Erian me gustaba mucho. El es muy inteligente y concentrado como profesor. El escuche bien y oie todas fallas y las mejora. A esta moda he aprendido mucho! También el sabe explicar la gramática muy claro y tenía muchas consejas que me ayudaba con comprender más de la idioma. Erian usaba también diferentes técnicas para enseñar. Preguntas, vídeos y conversaciones de diferentes temas.
Erian es el mejor profesor de mi vida ( tenía diferentes profesores antes in Argentina y una en Holanda). También el es tranquilo y paciente y está de buen humor todos dias. El me dio confianza para hablar español .
Quiero que sea posible continuar mi estudios de español con Erian. El es un profesor de muy alto calidad!

Private Classes with Alex

I had private classes with Alex for 2 weeks, Alex did a wonderful job of finding information about my specific interests to make the time in class extremely productive for me. Alex also did a great job of bringing my grammatical errors to my attention so I could be more deliberate about speaking correctly. I would recommend Alex as a professor to anyone .

Spanish lessons at C1 level

I spent a month studying Spanish 20 hours/week in individual classes with the teacher Alex Cano. I'm a language teacher with 22 years of experience so I know what good teaching looks like. Alex was fantastic in every way, making classes varied and interesting. I learned a huge amount in a month.

Habla Ya Boquete is a great community for both learning Spanish and participating in local activities

I enjoyed spending a week taking a daily private Spanish class with Leidys at Habla Ya in Boquete. She was a fun and effective professora. I learned a lot and looked forward to my class everyday. This is a very professional organization, and they were quick to respond to all my questions prior to our arrival. My daughter was a student as well, and also enjoyed the experience. We participated in several of the activities that the school organized and offered for us, including a traditional Panamanian dinner at the school, which was also a really cool experience. If I were to return, I'd take a longer course, maybe 3 or 4 weeks. Highly recommend!

Excellent classes in a beautiful setting

Habla Ya is an excellent Spanish language school. My instructor, Leidys Pitti, has the experience and skill at knowing what conversational and grammar points students are interested in and need to work on. She presents the information and questions in engaging and useful, practical ways, so that students feel confident in using the language. Leidys is a very positive, friendly and patient person, so that students look forward to attending class every day. Many of them, like me, return every year to improve their skills.

Great language school experience

Our family spent 2 weeks studying Spanish at HablaYa in Boquete Panama. Our daughters had a private group class as well as my husband and I. The type of instruction, pace and personalization was superb. We had 2 different teachers and both were exceptional. Our teacher the second week was Alex and he was fun to work with and we learned so much! He planned excursions for some of our time together and that helped tremendously with learning how to be more conversational in Spanish. Highly recommend.

Perfect for Solo Travel and learning Spanish

I spent three weeks in Boquete with Habla Ya. I came to Panama with no Spanish language experience and left with the confidence to try and a greater ability to comprehend the spoken language.
My teacher Erian was great at explaining concepts and the classes are kept small and the conversations interesting and useful.
I’m excited to continue practicing and learning throughout the year and look forward to visiting HablaYa again in the future.
