If you need to improve your English level for entry to university or other academic study, this course is designed for you. You will focus on listening, reading, writing and speaking skills in an appropriate context, as well as improving your grammar and pronunciation. You will develop your study skills in areas such as:
• carrying out research for projects and presentations;
• note-taking, summarising data and essay writing;
• planning and giving presentations;
• participating in discussions.

Edinburgh College has been running adult summer school courses at our Sighthill campus for more than 30 years, welcoming students aged 16 and over from all over the world to study English in July and August.
The Summer School offers students:
