The American Language and Culture Institute (ALCI), located at California State University, Chico, offers six sessions of intensive English instruction per year to international students of all proficiency levels. ALCI facilitates a transition from intensive English language programming to academic programming. ALCI special offerings include: Open University - Take regular California State University, Chico classes for credit; Conditional Admission - Apply to CSU, Chico, Butte College or Saint Mary's College of California pending your English language proficiency; TOEFL - Prepare for the TOEFL through ALCI; and College Math Preparation Courses - Prepare for university entrance exams or college-level math in courses customized for English language learners.
