The largest city in South Africa is Johannesburg. It’s the provincial capital and the seat of the Constitutional Court. The city is located in the Witwatersrand range of hills and known for its museums, theatres, galleries and libraries.
While studying a foreign language you could visit different museums, like the Johannesburg Art Gallery, the Adler Museum of Medicine or the South African National Museum of Military History. In addition, the Museum Africa shows the history of the city. But you could go shopping, too. The most known shopping malls are Sandton City, Mall of Africa or the flea markets.
If you want to get in touch with the African lifestyle, you could visit the Zoo of Johannesburg or the Lion Park, but also the Klipriviersberg Nature Reserve which is eleven kilometres from the city centre.
