Colchester English Study Centre (CESC) was opened in 1969 by Oxford University Press and is one of the leading independent English language Schools in the UK, in the oldest recorded town in England, a thriving and international university city only 45 minutes by train from London in the East Anglian countryside. The Study Centre is the only all year EFL school in Colchester, located 5 minutes from the town centre. All courses are accredited by the British Council & ABLS. - All year General English courses for adults from the age 16, maximum group size 14. Start any Monday. - Summer homestay junior courses for 11-17 in Ipswich and Colchester. Teacher Training programmes - Academic Year programmes, IELTS preparation courses - Transfer service. 11 classrooms, library/computer room, common-room, large garden, free daily social programme, and free wireless internet access.

I have been studying at CESC for 3 months in order to prepare for a Cambridge exam. These lessons were in a one to one basis and they were perfectly tailored for my needs, the teacher created a timetable each week to work all the skills in deep. These lessons were not only helpful but fun!
Brian made me feel confident with myself which is key to pass a speaking test at high level.
The facilities at the school are incredible, many of the classrooms have interactive boards, library, computers, a nice garden and even a billiard table!!
What I enjoyed the most during my time at CESC was the friendly enviroment of the admin team, they were very helpful and they also organized activities every afternoon after the lessons such as, games, tour to the town, films, football, I -chat, day trip to other cities like London and Cambdrige and many, many more.
I have been in many english schools in England during the past years and CESC is by far the best one, as it has a great location, just 56 minutes by train to London, high quality classes, as well as it has good prices. I took a 4 weeks offer and it was worth every penny!
Colchester is a really nice city with many things to do with a great night-life where I improved my english skills. I love Colchester and I will be definetly coming back there soon.

I enjoyed my time studying. I liked the syllabus and the way the lessons were planned. The timing of lectures was also reasonable and the teachers were very kind and taught well.

The teachers and the facilities are excellent. The benefits in the small town is that the daily costs are lower than the other places.
