Eureka

I took English classes in Moving on Courses with my teenage daughter for one week.
I can assure you that my child was enjoying stay in this academia and it change her approach to use of English language to more practical. She has told me a lot of times, that she wish her education would be organized this way: only one thing at a time, full immersion, friendly atmosphere and no grades (yes, child can learn something without grades, eureka!).
Honestly, I recommend this academia for young learners too.

Movingoncourses!!!!

Just arrived from Bangor!!!!Great Experience !!!! I’ve been studying English for a week , living with Sonia and Gavin , Bryan and Cris more than excellent teachers giving us classes until lunch , and during lunch classes continue , then study trip with Sonia , 2 per week, nice visits to different interesting places, don’t forget to take a notepad !!!!!, afterwards coffee time in a cafe to speak about visit and check new vocabulary, very helpful !!Beautiful Unique experience as no other offers, you will discover Sonia ‘s healthy cook!!!Confortable Hotel room , I’d say it worth every penny you invest in learning English!!! Thanks all the MovingOnCourses team , I hope to see you soon !!!Federico.

great place for total immersion in English language

I was in the Academy MovingOn for 2 weeks. This is in Bangor a little, lovely and friendly town near to Belfast in Norther Ireland. The immersion in the English language is total so I could improve my level and gain confidence. Gavin and Sonia are the hosts and they are lovely, friendly, funny and smart guys. They have a lot of experience teaching English for foreign students, so they have different ways for teach you English. You are all day interacting with the professors, so you are learning English in each situation even if you don't realize. We took the breakfast, lunch and dinner together, so we were learning all day plus the formal classes and the study trip made it tiring but very productive!!!
In the academy I met other students and professors like Cris and Brian. Both are very good teachers. Brian is also a very kind person, very educated and with whom you can have interesting conversations on many topics.
I think that is a excellent place for to learn English and I have recommended to my friends.

MovingOn Courses: SIN FACTURA NI CERTIFICADO.

Me entristece profundamente tener que escribir esta reseña pero tras haberles pedido en 4 OCASIONES hace ya 3 MESES mi factura por una estancia de dos meses allí (un dineral)y no haber recibido absolutamente nada ni yo ni mis compañeros con los que coincidí allí varias semanas me queda avisar a todos aquéllos que esten pensando en ir que tengan en cuenta lo sucedido. Les dije no pocas veces que necesitaba esos documentos para justificación de gastos y algún tipo de certificado para incluir en mi CV puesto que lo que me llevó alli fue mejorar mi inglés para mejorar mis posibilidades de encontrar trabajo ya que estaba en situación de desempleo. Asumo pues que me han tomando el pelo y doy por perdidos dicha documentación. ¿Qué se puede pensar de una academia de inglés que no da ni factura ni certificado?

100 % IMMERSION ENGLISH, EXCELLENT

After two months of total immersion in MovingOn Courses, I can say that my English has improved.
I wanted to boost my English, so I thought of doing an intensive course and what MovingOn Courses (Northern Ireland, Bangor), offered I found it very interesting.
The days are so intensive, from 8:30 am in the morning until night you are in direct contact with English, every day you are immersed in the language, even when you are in bed, you are thinking of how I can say this sentence…., remembering vocabulary…
Afterwards, attending the classes daily, you can put in practice everything you learnt with the teachers, students and local people.
Although, you share the same language with some students, we always speak in English to each other, at home, having a coffee, a beer, going for a walk….For me, this is the key to improve. During my stay, I have just spoken in my native language with my family on the phone.
During the week, there are the study trips, they are effective and useful, you learn a lot at the same time you are visiting a new place. The landscape around Bangor is beautiful. Belfast is very near around 20 km and you can enjoy going out in the nightlife.
The life here is like a family. It have been very comfortable and I thank Sonia, Gavin and Karen for their hospitality and all of the team of teachers for their kindness and professionalism. Sonia is an excellent chef, she cooks delicious food!!!
I really recommend MovingOn Courses if you want to improve your English and Thank you very much for this great experience !!!

I would definitely recommend MovingOn courses to anyone who’d like to work hard and to achieve fast results.

I am a professional; language is important to me for business.
My language proficiency had been very low. I could afford only a few weeks to study; therefore, the speed of learning was the key factor for me.
I considered standard courses at international schools, but I was concerned with a few questions, like - how will I practice after classes? In addition, I did not want to spend time on commuting every day; I did not want to be bothered with my meals, too. I was looking for complete immersion 24 * 7 without being distracted by anything.
I got more than I asked for. First days in Gavin and Sonya’s house were not easy for me; I hardly understood what students and teachers were saying, I did not understand the texts I was reading. Therefore, I was given 3 weeks of one-to-one classes., with three different teachers every day.
I was in the center of their attention, so I could not relax, I had to work hard :)
After classes, my day was full of activities (including 2 study trip every week, and student presentations). Local residents came to visit us, to talk to us in real language.
Every day was English all day, from morning till night. This was very hard work. I was going to bed completely exhausted, switching off in a minute.
After 3 weeks of one-to-one classes I was able to catch up with other students and to join the group.
Now, after 4 weeks of my stay, I am able to read and understand newspaper articles, looking into the dictionary only few times. I can communicate with the locals in shops and restaurants, although still making a lot of mistakes :)
I understand almost everything that students and teachers say. Of course, I have a lot of space for improvement; it is only the beginning:)
Big thanks to Gavin and Sonya for their support; I feel at home with them.

More than an English course, a second family

Movingon courses is more than an English course, it is a second family. I spent two fantastic months in the school and I would do the same thing again. Bangor is a beautiful town by the sea, quiet but not boring and is very well connected to Belfast. The English course is not limited to formal classes. You are all day in the company of students and teachers and only speak English.

Wonderful experience

I definitely recommend this academy. Their immersion course means to speak English (literally) all day. The owners and one teacher live the same house where students stay, so you have to speak English during lessons, meal time, field trips. Very good situation to improve your English skill!
Teachers are professional and really helpful.
Bangor is a small, but beautiful town. I enjoyed the days at there.
