Located in Biarritz, one of the world's best surfing spots in Europe, in the heart of the beautiful Basque country, BLCI is a small and independent school of French as a foreign language which opened in 2005.
We strive to create a friendly educational environment that focuses on quality and try to meet as much as possible the needs of our students so that they can make the most of their stay at BLCI.
The school offers 5 classrooms, a computer room with free Wifi access, the loan of books, CDs and DVDs, free tea and coffee and a spacious garden. Our school is handicap accessible and has parking facilities.
All year round, we welcome students from all over the world, from 16 years old and we have great experience in dealing with teenagers groups.

20 group lessons in the morning from Monday to Friday 1 lesson is 45 minutes Based on the CECR, designed to develop the 4 language skills : • speaking • listening • reading • writing;
Our method, focused on communication, aims to improve accuracy and fluency through role play, simulations and discussions.

BLCI offers specific programmes including Standard courses, 20 group lessons every morning from Monday to Friday and different options in the afternoon such as :

Our special teen summer program is designed for 13 to 17 year old teenagers and includes :
• 20 group lessons per week, group courses in the morning
• full board accommodation in host family (twin room)
• 4 afternoons with extra curricular sports and leisure activities and recreational trips organized by the school and supervised by Government certified professionals
• 1 free afternoon
• Transfer on arrival and departure
