St Peter’s School of English: Supporting your success
Welcome to our school
This family-owned school was established in 1966 and many of our staff have taught here several years. We know that it is easier to learn when you feel comfortable. That is why we work hard to make our school a friendly place for students from around the world.
In addition to being accredited by the British Council we are also a member of English UK.
Small class sizes give you a good opportunity to use your English and a chance to make friends in your group. We also understand that your experience outside the classroom is very important to your learning. Canterbury is a city with a good cultural heritage, and we can arrange homestay with local people so you can experience English traditions.
It is important to choose a language school where you are happy. At St Peter’s, we offer a unique package combining the high standards of a British Council accredited school with a caring environment and a great location.
A great location
Canterbury’s famous cathedral is a world heritage site. The school is only a few minutes’ walk from this beautiful building, in the heart of Canterbury’s historic conservation area: the King’s Mile Precinct and very close to London and its airports. We are not far from the beaches and seaside resorts of Kent.
The school is on a quiet street but in less than five minutes, you are in the main shopping area of Canterbury where you can find everything from designer stores to museums and cafes.

Etudié Anglais généralI definitely recommend St. Peter\'s school!
I spent wonderful time in Canterbury. It was still my precious memory.
I stayed there for 9 months from July 2006. First 2 months I choose home stay. After I left my host family's home, they often invited me to stay together, and I still keep in touch with them.
In class there were students from all around the world, talking with them about our own cultures was quite interesting. And teachers are all great, they never made me bored, I always enjoyed their lessons.
I definitely recommend you St. Peter's school!

Etudié Anglais généralMy Canterbury experience!
I totally loved my stay in Canterbury and my studies at St. Peter's. It's a very small village but with a lot to do. The courses at St. Peter's are great and there aren't many students per class so you get a personalised attention. There are students from all around the world so you get a pretty good multicultural experience. Teachers are great and they are relaxed but very well prepared. If you're thinking on learning english in Canterbury, St. Peter's is definitely your best choice.

Etudié Anglais généralNice experience!
I started my experience at St Peter's in August 2014 and it was my first time abroad alone. I lived in Canterbury for a month in a host family accommodation, such a nice experience! Thanks to the people of St Petter's and especially to my host family, I had a great time in England, enjoying the little things, the food, the nature and the language, of course. I improved my level of English a lot. I recomend this experience so much.

Etudié Anglais généralGreat time at St Peter´s
I started my experience at the school in September 2014 and it was my first time abroad alone. It was difficult, but thanks to the people at St. Peter´s I could always feel safe and at my ease because if I had any kind of problem they were always able to help me.
Apart from this, in three months of study, I was able to improve the language because of the variety of activities we did in the lessons. Every day we used to practice the four skills (listening, speaking, writing and reading).
The teachers always gave me interesting inputs and it was my duty as a student to take them and put as much effort at home as at school in order to live the language at 360º.
I will always be thankful to the teachers, staff and to my wonderful schoolmates, beacuse they made of those three months a unique experience.
For all of these reasons I decided to stay one further year in England.
