I don’t have enough words to describe my first time here. It has been amazing! Simply amazing! Let’s start from the beginning.
I’ve stayed here for about two weeks and I want to repeat the experience next year: LOVELY people, LOVELY teachers and a LOVELY place!
First of all, I must mention the food. Every day there were different types of dishes. Sometimes Mexican, French, Spanish, Italian, Chinese and …obviously TRADITIONAL ENGLISH FOOD… but always delicious. I’ll always remember when I ate my first whole spicy chilli. My mouth was on fire!
As for the accommodation, I have to say that Moor Park School opened its doors to me. It is a closed, comfortable, sweet place where you can find a new home for all your companions and yourself. They were from different countries, mixed with the objective of practicing English 24 hours a day. All of them were lovely people and I have been able to learn more about their cultures.
Regarding the lessons of Core English, they were very useful for me because they were designed to meet our English needs and solve them by asking questions and doing practical tasks. My favourite activities in the classes were the writing ones and the oral expositions. And the games were intriguing and fun ‘cause they helped me to gain confidence with my classmates.
Moving on to the activities, there were a lot of laughs and interactions with my new friends. My favourite ones were: the Ludlow Castle excursion, where I learnt more history about England; the cinema night, because I watched my first ‘English’ film without subtitles, and watching World Cup football matches all together.
Turning to another big plus, I must mention the excursion days, which were FANTASTIC, INTERESTING and SPECTACULAR! We went to Oxford, Birmingham and LONDON, and we saw a lot of monuments. But the best parts from the travels were the FREE TIMES. You could be free for an hour or maybe two, and live like an authentic English person. To begin with, it was hard for me because I thought that I couldn’t speak the language well enough, but by practicing, going into shops, talking with native people etc I could improve my English! I had some amazing experiences, like punting on the river at Oxford, and visiting an historic university. It was a wonderful time!
And last, but not least, I must mention my favourite aspect of these holidays: meeting and knowing new, lovely, amazing friendly guys and learning English and new skills as well as facing new challenges.
In conclusion, it has been AMAZING!!!

Hi, I’m Philippine I went to More than English during to two weeks. So I go to tell you all about this campus.
The first thing who you need to know, we have three hours of school on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. The lessons are interesting and interactive. We talk about actuality, we speak together and we do a reaction. I learn a lot of vocabulary during my stay. We don’t learn English we use English. After the lessons, we go to the lunch. The chef is a very very good cook.
Then we can go upstair in our rooms to chill out and brush our teeth but very quickly because we have the Get Ahead during three hours but we have some breaks.
The Get Ahead is funny. We have a professional teacher to teach us and some staff members too.
All the staff are young so they are very funny and nice. We can do many things together.

She doesn’t just teach us English, we use English. So don’t worry! If you have Lucy as a teacher, she is very funny and very cool, she’s the best teacher ever!
Now the food, we have a very good chef called Paul. We eat very good food, but to this week, the food is very spicy for me!
About the staff, there are 19 people/ member of staff. The members of staff are very nice with us. For the girls our house parents are Valentina and Rachel. They are our mums for these weeks, Lauren is a activity designer, very cool.

The international summer school of the world, More than English.
In this summer school you have new experience and to meet new friends of different countries. More than English offers this nice experience to young boys and girls doing lessons and different activities.
In lessons we have a sentence to describe what we do “using English not teaching English”. Another thing like activities are very funny and you can spend time with the teachers, they are lovely and perfect and the members are Lucy, Matt, Louise, Jai, Ian, Emma, Calvin and Bethan, nice people.
A big part of More than English are the staff, they are lovely people as well, young and an important thing is the green T-shirts. The staff members are activity designers: Ania, Jacob and Lauren. Other staff are Seth, Valentina and Rachel, the house parents and Imogen, Ed and Paul the chef. Claire and David are the most important people of More than English because they are the owners.
Food in More than English is good, not bad. Paul does a great job in this part and at the moment I like it.
The best time with friends is in the bedrooms, we’re like a team and good, a problem that I have is that the bedroom in untidy and I am a tidy person.
Talking about rules, I think that if we compare with my school in Spain the rules are normal and good. The time in More than English pass so fast. My opinion about it is excellent and comparing with the lessons in home that are very boring, here are perfect.

More than English is an international summer camp and English school. This camp is very good, the lessons are very cool because they are interactive and fun. The teachers are very good, my favourite teacher is Lucy because she is very funny and she teaches very well. Imogen is very expressive and Matt because he is very cool.
The food is awesome because the chef, Paul, is very good and he has a lot of experience. My favourite food in this summer camp was tacos. The lunch and dinner are very well. I think that the best of this summer camp is the excursions, because the places that we visit are very interesting and cool. The last week, we visit the city of Birmingham, the city of Oxford and the making of Harry Potter.
The house is very good, the best part of the house are the bedrooms because they are very comfortable and beautiful.
I think that this camp is very good and I’m learning a lot of English.

Today I want to talk about More than English.
I start with the positive opinions. You learn a lot of English and make friends from different countries. You do 3 hours a day of English, at midday you do Get Ahead, in this activity you try your favourite sport or activity. The rooms are beautiful because are decorated for all things. Teachers and staff are good people and if you have a problem they help you.
The food is very good. The house parents are Seth and Valentina. The rules of the house are normal and not stupid at all.
All the staff have a green T-shirt that is to identify them to all the boys and girls in the school.

I want to talk about More than English positive things. The first thing when you arrive is the special castle. It is when you open the door you see sofas and armchairs. Then there are people who wear green T-shirts, these are the staffs. Let’s go swimming in the swimming pool. Over the swimming pool there is a beautiful glass- tunnel. Now we have to go to the dinner the chef is Paul. He cooks excellent. After dinner we have activities, we can choose from football and handball. I think I choose football. Our staff: Ania, Jacob, Lauren, Seth, Valentina explain the game to us. Tomorrow we have three lessons. One lesson is sixty minutes. The teachers are Bethan, Calvin, Emma, Ian, Jai, Louise, Lucy and Matt. The bedrooms are very funny because there is Pirate and Spitfire etc. The rules are to go to sleep at 10.30pm don’t cheat, don’t shout out. And the Get Ahead you can choose before you arrive at Moor Park School. You can choose between football, tennis and golf.

studied General EnglishAmazing!
I have attended More Than English for 3 summers now and I have to say it's amazing. The varied mix of nationalities is excellent. I'm a British teenager who lives in Herefordshire, very close to Ludlow (about 5km actually), but I felt like I was a long way from home whilst staying here.
The English lessons are brilliant. I was in a class with very high level English speakers but this didn't stop everyone from learning new things. I particularly enjoyed that our teacher taught British slang words to the students, it gave everyone a real representation of English as a language. I learnt a lot myself, which not only surprised me but helped me in my education after the summer.
It is definitely worth what you pay! It looks intense on paper and it sometimes can be, but you're never bored.
A swimming pool on site, what more could you ask for? The facilities are outstanding however the only concern I had was that the rooms are a little childish, obviously I don't expect the walls to be painted especially for us, but it would be nice if we had timetables up in the rooms, clocks and maybe some posters of famous British things such as Doctor Who or Harry Potter. It did get quite cold in some of the rooms as well. Oh, and there's WiFi!!
FOOD! My favourite thing. The food was diverse and delicious. I particularly enjoyed the fact that the chef accommodated to my dietary requirements and there was some excellent vegan and vegetarian options. The BBQ's we had outside were cool and were stereotypically British with one being rained off! The breakfasts were great with a full English being offered alongside a continental breakfast.
There was a diverse range of activities. I really enjoyed the swimming because we could play with inflatable things and water polo was really fun - it was great that the staff got involved as well! We built slip 'n' slide one afternoon which was great because we got to be creative and get soaked at the same time. The special activities were great, zorb football was fun and we all got a great night's sleep afterwards.
The only key criticism I have would be that there isn't much free time. I was tired quite a lot of the time and needed maybe just an hour or two to relax and watch some TV or play card games with my new international friends! Obviously some people might find that boring but 1 evening a week would be enough.
Thank you for a wonderful experience. I hope that you continue to grow and thrive!
