studied English Summer CoursesUNa piccola grande Scuola!

Gracias!

My name is Amy, I am 13 years old, from China. I am staying in this summer school for three weeks. At first I must say I am a little scared before I came to this summer school. I knew I am the only Chinese student in this summer school, in total we've got 65 students in the first and second week , a big group. but after a few days I felt this is a very nice place ,all the students are really friendly. Just thought we are not a big group of students , we are a big "family" . After one week , some students are leaving we are all really sad , crying and thinking about the past....
The air is very fresh here , many trees , and the school is really big,”huge". we got a very big playground , we can play golf right here because we got a very big place .
We have a lots of activities right here,we have get a head options. For my first week I got creative writing, my second week was golf and my last week was film making .
I haven't done any golf before, I don't really interested in golf, but after I got one lesson,I thought ,emm...... I like it. It was really good. The teacher was really kind ,his name is Dan, he was very patience. I must say ALL THE TEACHERS in this MORE THAN ENGLISH are amazing!
Also we got afternoon activities , every day is different, it was really fun ! It made students relationship better.
For Saturday and Sunday, we got lots to do , I went to London , Manchester, and pool river , it all were really good trip. Staff took us to many nice places .And you have some shopping time and free time .
For English lessons we got many lovely teachers , My teacher's name is Ian he is a very nice, kind man. He taught us a lot. And it was a really good time . In his class was not boring , it was really fun , we played some games and we learned a lot in those games, and sometimes we did role play ,it practise our confident and our pronunciation .iIt helps a lot !!
MORE THAN ENGLISH is a international summer school it is really good , because you can can meet a lot of people from many countries , and make a lots of friends , and you can learn a lot about their country. Because we got INTERNATIONAL NIGHT students share information about their countries.
The most important thing is : YOU WILL NEVER FELL BORED IN MORE THAN ENGLISH!!! you will always have something to do .
(If there is any mistakes please ignore it .....)
THAT’S ALL THANK YOU !!!!!!

The Campus is really nice! It has got many attractions, like swimming pool, a tennis court, football pitch or small lake behind campus. It has got a really big field where lots of activities took place.
Accommodation: My bedroom is great and it has got also a name, it”s Calle ,,Madison”. For the first week I was sharing this room with 5 others girls, but in the second, only with three. Everybody here is very kind. When you are new, many of students will wanna talk with you about your country, hobbies…
Food: For breakfast there are usually the same things, like toast, cornflakes, milk… But lunch and dinner are different. I love this place for their desserts! They are amazing! What is very nice, that they are usually for every meal.
Core English Lessons: Lessons here are very interesting. My teacher was very funny and my lessons were full of laughter. You can learn here many of nw vocabulary, and information about grammar too.
Get Ahead Lessons: For the first week I played tennis, but for the second I chose film. If you want to change your lessons, there is no problem with this, but you must ask your houseparents.
All In All: I went here to improve my English and now I think that I am ready for my school. Thank you so much!!!

CAMPUS: The campus is excellent. The field where we can hang out is very big. There are gardens, a swimming pool, tennis courts, football and rugby pitches… You can even play golf there!
ACCOMMODATION: I share my room with five girls who are from different countries. It is good because it is big enough and also you have chance to practise your English. Adding to that I like my houseparents but they are a little bit strict.
FOOD: For breakfast we have some options: toasts, cereal, cakes, bacon, milk, juices… For dinner and lunch, everyday they cook different meals and they all taste good. I love the dishes and thanks to our chef we can eat them because he cooks dishes from other countries too.
ENGLISH LESSONS: I like our lessons. This is a result of having a nice teacher. We learn new phrases, words without being bored. Also the content of the lessons help us improve our English.
GET AHEAD LESSONS: For my first and second weeks I chose “Shakespeare”. For this club we are with David and he makes the literature fun. We read one of the plays of Shakespeare:Macbeth, and we had a discussion on it. We have so many options for Get Ahead Lessons such as drama, golf, tennis, dance.. and we can change them per week.
INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE: There are a lot of people from all over the world so you can make international friendships. Moreover you have to speak in English to talk with them and it leads us to develop our language.
ALL IN ALL: The thing I like most of this college is the people. All of them are very nice. I am very pleased to have come here. Thank you.

My biggest fear about coming to a summer school was that I thought that I wasn’t going to be able to fit in and make new friends. The first two days were kind of scary.I thought that everyone knew each other already and I was a little shy to talk to anybody.
As the weeks were passing I felt more comfortable to speak with new people , I started to get closer to some of the girls and we started to make amazing memories. When you are at summer school you can be whoever you want to, nobody knows your story.
For me it was an astounding experience to speak to a lot of people, to talk about the relevant issues that are affecting all of us, to exchange ideas with international friends, etc.
The last week I got really close to many of my friends, one of the last days at school we were talking and we realised that we were from six different nationalities! Can you believe it?, seven girls having fun together, laughing about inside jokes, and accepting all of our differences.
Saying goodbye is the hardest thing to do, it’s unbelievable how in three weeks you can get to know amazing people, and believe it or not I can say that I actually love my friends, How is it possible?. We spent together only a few days but I know our friendship can last forever.
It is going to be really hard for us to all see each other again, because of the distance between our countries, but I’m sure that if anyone has the opportunity to travel we will meet again.
Living this experience in such an idyllic campus, with such good teachers and staff, and learning English in so different ways without even realising it has been for sure one of the best experiences in my life.

The 3 weeks I spent at MTE were truly special and I will never forget the time spent here.
At MTE, I learnt English in exciting new ways from passionate teachers who really make you want to go to class, I had all kinds of interesting activities carefully prepared by the brilliant Activity Designers, I went on exciting trips to many cities around England, but most importantly I made priceless friendships and met people who I will always miss.
My English lessons were particularly interesting and my teacher was always happy and made us feel good. Even though I was in one of the top classes, I felt like that didn't keep us from learning new things everyday.
For my Get Ahead activities, I had chosen Business Challenge, Speech Making and Model UN. They were all great and I loved working with Calvin (my English teacher, who also teaches all of the 3 Get-Aheads I had) for the duration of my stay. Business Challenge really gives you an idea of what running a business is like, which I believe is really useful. Speech Making is a very good choice for anyone who wants to improve their self-confidence and to be able to speak in public. However, my favourite get-ahead was Model UN. It is really exciting. I found it really pleasing to research for the whole week and then to see the results of all of my hard work in the last day, at the actual debate, when, BTW, we followed actual UN protocol.
Afternoon activities are the part of the day when you can really relax. You can choose from different sports (like cricket, football, dodgeball, hockey, or others), but also things like Arts&Crafts for those who feel more artistic.
I cannot wait for next year's summer vacation to come and I am sure I will come back to MTE. The people here are truly special. I have never felt like this on a summer camp before.

studied English Summer CoursesMore Than English Review
It was my third time at More Than English summer school. As always - I am not disappointed.
To begin with, the campus is situated near the idyllic town - Ludlow, where you can not only visit the marvellous castle, but you can also admire the atmosphere of a British town.
Secondly, the campus is neat and tidy, full of different facilities, for instance a swimming pool and classrooms equipped with whiteboards. The bedrooms are cosy and you feel like you are home.
In addition, staff and students are just like a huge family. We can always rely on each other and support in difficult situations.
Furthermore, there aren't any group leaders, which means everybody is being treated equally.
Moving on to Core English, I must admit that I was able to practise a little bit of everything: speaking, writing and reading.
It is important to mention that there is a limited number of students from country and people in a class.
More Than English is not only English, it is getting to know new people from all over the world, playing cricket, rounders, spending time together and simply having fun.
The most crucial thing for the owners of MTE is our safety which my parents and I agree with.
Summing up, More Than English is definitely worth going to. As far as I am concerned, it is the best summer school and if you haven't been there before, you should without hesitation give it a try.

This year i really enjoyed Model United Nations at More Than English, because it gave me the chance to challenge myself to use my english in a very high pressure environment. I had to research a country, right a position paper stating my countries (Romania) opinion on Economic Migrants and debate on this topic with other delegations.
The biggest challenge I had to face this year was my other Get Ahead Option - Leadership Business Challenge. We had to come up with a smoothie brand including the name, marketing, recipes and finally selling the smoothies to other students and staff.
I had such a great time! I love More Than English
