I enjoyed my time in Wimbledon School of English. Staff were helpful, teachers were well educated professionals whom we learned a lot and exchanged good experience. We did not have the time but there were also a lot of social activities going on, WSE is a perfect choice for a short term study course.

One of the best experiences!

The school is amazing in itself, not only has it lots of facilities - such as digital boards, a Study Center, free Wi-Fi and a social program super complete for the students - but it is also in a perfect location: it's 2 minutes walking from a supermarket and 5 minutes from Wimbledon station. There are also lots of cafés, pubs and parks nearby, it's a beautiful area! The accommodations are also outstanding, I stayed with a host family and the experience was fantastic, I had the opportunity to speak English with them every day and the sense of "home" helped with the homesickness. The family also gave me very useful advice about my Oyster Card and the activities I could do in London in my free time.
I'd like to emphasise how absolutely extraordinary is the staff, from the teachers to the receptionist, they all were super helpful and made my experience there one of the bests I have had.
I recommend it 100%.

My experience at WSE

Dear Kieran,
I've spent unforgettable days at school. Hilary, Frances and Anna were really kind and of course excellent teachers . I've picked up many helpful tips to improve a little this language I love so much .The group of students was also incredible and as they were young, I loved listening to them as well . I've really enjoyed having been at Wimbledon school in many ways, the lessons , the breaks, lunch in the garden, your cordiallity, everything! Thank you very much you all , it was a great experience for me and of course I'd be very happy to return one day! Who knows?
Best wishes
María Lía

An amazing experience

The school is situated in the heart of Wimbledon and will give you a truly international experience. You’ll learn to live on your own in a foreign country and your language skills will improve dramatically. Personally, I made a lot of friends there and I feel my English is completely different since I’ve arrived. I strongly recommend to check the official website of the school to find out its other features.

Thank you note

I would like to thank Helen Merritt and Helen Dennis Smith for effective delivering the Teacher Refreshers Course. The material was useful and practical. After the programme I took the TKT exams. I'm pretty satisfied with the results (Module 1 & 2 band 4, Module 3 band 3). For information, Band 4 is the highest, it shows extensive knowledge. Band 3 shows a breadth and depth of knowledge.

The WSE was one of the best schools I've ever studied, everything is great or almost close to perfect, but the size of the classrooms is small and it annoyed me sometimes.

I've spent 10 months studying at WSE, during that time i were there I've improved my language a lot , the good and nice thing about is the way of teaching and how they manage the school to be , the school helps you to make a new friend by the activities they have, during my study journey in the school i have made loads of friends from different nationalities and backgrounds which is was good to me to knowledge my self about other cultures, my experience there were one of the best and will stick in my mind and it's will help me with many things even to how communicate with other people.
I want to say thanks to all the teachers that helps me with my study and i want to say sorry if i have annoyed any one in the school during my studies there, if i got the chance to come again to WSE I wouldn't miss it.

Why Wimbledon School of English?

I found out about WSE by means of an Agency in Argentina and I could not be happier with my decision. I spent the coldest month in the year here but I could not have felt a warmer ambience with such warm people.

In aspects of education, the teachers are well trained to make every moment in class positive, productive and also fun. Of course there is homework, as in every school, but I do not regret spending a bit in the afternoons doing homework as it kept me with energy for learning and it was a way of learning more independently.

The facilities in the school are also an item I must highlight. Everything including WI-FI, a study room, a coffee machine, a bar and a beautiful garden to spend time in; helped me feel at home.

Not like in any school, this school also has a social program in order for students to get to know places in London and to meet other students in different places. There are sport activities, tours through the most interesting places in London, nights out for over-aged student and more. I had the opportunity to take part in a theatre excursion to see Russian Ballet performing “Swan Lake” for an excellent prize as the school gets discounts.

Definitely I had the time of my life, experienced a lot of new things and learned a lot so I am looking forward to go back to my place in the world as soon as I have the opportunity.
