MovingOn Courses - Bangor N.Ireland

My experience

ENGLISH
On 1st of October in 2017, I went to Moving on courses in Bangor and I stayed for one month in the Northern Ireland.
My first day was a little difficult because I was very nervous and I didn’t know If I would be able to understand them, for example, when I arrived and I asked the ticket clerk in the train station for a ticket and I didn’t understand anything, because the Belfast people have a strong accent and I had a very low level in English.
When I was in front at the hotel I was very nervous, but when I arrived Gavin and Sonia was waiting for me and they explained everything to me about Moving on courses and they prepared a special dinner and during the dinner I met with Luis (the other student).
My first class was with Amy, she is very friendly and I liked her class a lot because I could understand a lot of the words and the class was very interesting and fun.If a had some questions or I couldn’t understand her, I could ask her without any problems.
Then on Wednesday I had my first class with Teal and I liked it too, because she was very friendly and she is very patient similar to Amy. With Teal you can listen a different accent because she is from Canada.
Two days during the week, we had a trip with Sonia, Karen or Roberta. We went to different towns near to Bangor and we went to visit the important and beautiful places in Belfast. During the journey in the car, we were playing a game and we practised our speaking a lot.
When we arrived, they explained all the history of that place and after that, we went to a pub and we reviewed all the vocabulary that we learnt during the trip.
At lunch and dinners we were speaking with Gavin and Sonia and they corrected our mistakes to improve our English.
The last day in Moving on courses I noticed an improvement because I could understand the Belfast people and I improved my speaking a lot.
Nowadays, I continue to keep in contact with them because for personals reasons I needed to return to Barcelona but I continue my classes with Amy, Teal and Karen by Skype.

El 1 de Octubre de 2017 fui a Bangor (Irlanda del Norte) a estudiar inglés durante un mes.
Mi primer día fue bastante difícil, iba con miedo de no saber si podría entender el acento que tienen los irlandeses del norte. Por ejemplo, cuando llegué a la estación del tren, no pude entender casi nada de lo que me decía el taquillero. Debido a que tenia un nivel de ingles bastante bajo y el acento de aquella persona era bastante cerrado.
Cuando estaba enfrente del hotel me puse bastante nervioso, pero cuando decidí entrar Gavin y Sonia me estaban esperando y me explicaron todo el funcionamiento de MovingOnCourses y además me prepararon una cena especial para que conociera a los demás estudiantes que estaban allí en aquel momento.
Mi primera clase fue con Amy, ella es muy simpática y me gustaba mucho hacer clases con ella porque habla de una manera para que todo el mundo la pueda entender y tiene mucha paciencia con los estudiantes. Además, no tenía miedo de preguntarle si no la entendía, porque no tenía ningún problema en repetirme o en buscar otra manera para expresarse más sencilla.
El miércoles tuve mi primera con Teal, ella también es muy amable y simpática, igual que Amy. Gracias a Teal puedes escuchar un Acento procedente de Canadá y asífamiliazarte con los diferentes acentos.
Dos días a la semana realizábamos excursiones por los diferentes pueblos cerca de Bangor e íbamos a Belfast, Donde allí Sonia Roberta y Karen te explicaban la historia de Irlanda del Norte y podías Practicar mucho tu expresión lingüística en inglés. Después de la excursión íbamos a un bar donde revisábamos todas las expresiones que y el vocabulario que habíamos aprendido durante el viaje.
Durante las comidas y las cenas, estábamos con Gavin y Sonia donde les escuchábamos hablar ingles y nos enseñaban a hablar correctamente.
El último día que estuve con ellos pude apreciar una gran mejoría en mi inglés, sobre todo tenía mucha facilidad para entenderles y para poder comunicarme con ellos.
En la actualidad por motivos personales tuve que regresar a España, pero continúo realizando clases de inglés con Teal, Karen y Amy vía Skype.

Wonderful experience,

At first i was nervous because the course is 100% English and it is prohibited to speak any other language. After a few days you get used to it and i did not have to pay any fines 
I recommend the course because it is different to other courses. You live in the same house as Sonia, Karen and Gavin but also with other students. Other teachers come to the house for classes and so you have different accents. They are friendly but strict. The teachers correct you when you make mistakes and they are always teaching new words .
There is a maximum of 4 students in class but some weeks i had private classes because my level was different . I did not have to pay any extra .
You also have meals with the teachers. Sonia is from Belfast but she cooks international food and cooks very well.
In the afternoon you go on a study-trip. A teacher drives and you visit local tourist places. After the trip you go to a pub or cafe and review our mistakes and the new vocabulary.
The giant’s causeway is very far to go for one afternoon but you can go on a bus tour from Belfast at the weekend.
In bangor there are no Spanish people. The marina is one minute and you can go jogging for the coast.

Al principio estaba un poco nervioso porque era un curso 100% en ingles y no se podia hablar otra lengua. Despues de pocos dias me aconstumbre al curso y no tube que pagar nada por hablar en otra lengua.
Te recomiendo este curso porque tu vives en la misma casa que Sonia Gavin y Karen pero ademas convives con otros estudiantes.
Otras profesoras vienen cada dia, lo bueno es la variedad de acentos que tu puedes escuchar porque las profesoras son de todo el mundo.
Ellos son simpaticos pero estrictos y te corrigen muy amenudo y te ensenan nuevas palabras. Esto te permite aprender y a la vez pasartelo bien.
El numero maximo de estudiantes por clase es 4 pero algunas semanas tu tienes clase privada si tu nivel es diferente del de los otros estudiantes. Sonia es de Belfast pero ella cocina muy bien y comida de todo el mundo. Creo que nunca habia probado una comida tan variada en un mismo sitio.
Por la tarde tienes las Study Trips donde tu visitaras un sitio local y despues iras a revisar el vocabulario de la excursion en un pub o Bar.
The Giant's Causeway esta muy lejos para vistarlo en una tarde pero tu puedes ir el fin de semana en autobus desde Belfast. En Bangor no hay hispanoablantes por lo que tu tienes que hablar ingles. La casa esta situada a un minuto del puerto y tu puedes hacer ejercicio cerca de la costa.
Elige MovinOn Courses si quieres mejorar tu ingles con garantia. No me defraudaron a mi y a ti tampoco te defraudaran.
