I was 4 weeks in Bangor in the inmersion course of MovingOn Courses and I have to say that it was a 4 amazing weeks where I improve my English speaking all the time in english even in the pubs, in the study trips, in real daily situations... This academy is everything you can want from one of them and when you finish the course you really feel that you have improved your English.

Daily life is like if you were in a big family with a pleasant atmosphere, delicious meals and a beautiful place.

I really recommend this academy because of those two things: the great teachers and the methodology to learn English and the great atmosphere that makes you want to stay there after finishing your course.

MovingOn Courses

I'm very happy with this immersion course 100% in English and of course with the atmosphere that I felt during these weeks.
In this course your classmates can be Spanish, Italian or other nationalities, but despite this, you won't speak in your mother lenguage at any time, so that you're all day with teachers, also in excursions, meals and classes. 
This is my second year and my level has improved a lot, grammar, speaking and vocabulary. One interesting thing is that if while you're speaking you confuse a verbal tense or you don't know something they correct you in English and they write it on a blackboard or in a notebook, then they ask you to see if you know the thing that you were wrong and if not they helps you to understand it. For this reason it is recommended to take a notebook to write down what you fail and before you go to sleep review where you failed to study new vocabulary.
You can come for a week or whatever you want, last year I had a colleague who was there about 6 weeks I think.
I recommend you this course.

Bangor

I was 2 weeks in Bangor and I improved a lot. Only English is spoken and you are strict. The place is very beautiful, the stay there is very comfortable and pleasant . Soni and Karen are very happy and charming. Everyone helps you in everything you need. The experience is very pleasant and if I can repeat it.
Estuve 2 semans en Bangor y mejoré mucho , únicamente se habla ingles y son estrictos en que se cumpla. El lugar es muy bonito, la estancia allí es muy cómoda y agradable . Soni y Karen son muy alegres y encantadoras. Todos te ayudan en todo lo que necesitas. Es muy grata la experiencia y si puedo repetiré.

The best place to learn English

Hi!

I have been in MovingOn Courses for 4 weeks to improve my English.
The first day is always the most difficult because is a big change but Gavin, Sonia, Karen and the other students make it easier, actually, in a few hours with them you feel at home.

I recommend this course because is the best choice to learn English. Why? The total immersion in English.
Every morning (except weekends) there are classes with a few students and the teacher: Karen, Bryan or Amy, all of them are very good teachers.
In these classes you can practise your vocabulary, grammar (especially the phrasals verbs, hahaha), and, of course, your listening and speaking. You are in a very small group, so you will talk a lot and listen your classmates as well.
Between classes you have a small break to go to the toilet or go to the kitchen and keep talking with the teachers while you eat something or take a relaxing cup of tea!
Some afternoons, you can go to the study trips with Karen and sometimes with Sonia too. In these study trips you can know more about the history, traditions and culture of Northern Ireland, or leave Bangor to enjoy the nature and the wonderful landscape of Ireland.

In spite of the other students speak the same language as me, we have always talked in English to each other, and only I can say that I have learnt a lot with them as well. Everybody knows that the purpose of this course is learn English, so nobody talks in other language, only ENGLISH!

About Bangor, is a little village near Belfast and is very difficult hear Spanish or other language in the street so is a very good opportunity to talk in English to local people. Almost all people are very kind and they will try to speak with you slowly If you need it.

And finally, I would like to tell that Sonia is an excellent cook, all the food are delicious and really, you eat very balanced and healthy food!

Thanks a lot for this experience, I hope repeat it soon.

Experiencia fantástica!

Yo pasé dos semanas en la escuela. Iba con mucho miedo porque mi nivel era muy bajo, pero desde la primera cena Sonia y Gavin me ayudaron a coger confianza y animarme a que me explicara en inglés y oye conseguía decir cosas que no yo pensaba que podía.

Los profesores muy bien, explican fenomenal, yo estuve con Amy y Cairin. Tienen mucha paciencia con nosotros, las clases son muy reducidas y muy personalizadas.

Por las tardes hacíamos excursiones. Sonia y Cairin nos explicaban cosas muy interesantes del país y nos enseñaron lugares preciosos que por nuestra cuenta no hubiéramos ido.

La convivencia con el resto de alumnos muy buena, la gente muy tolerante y respetable.

La verdad es que mi experiencia fue maravillosa, solo tengo buenas palabras. Es una inmersión de verdad y aunque al principio es un poco duro enseguida ves resultados y eso te motiva a seguir.

Espero poder repetir la experiencia.

Excelente!

Estuve un mes en esta academia en Irlanda del Norte, llegue con mucho miedo ya que mi nivel de inglés era 0, el primer día fue extremadamente duro pero poco a poco veía como me iba soltando. Las profesoras geniales Karen, Amy y Teal. Ellas tienen diferente nacionalidad y prácticas diferentes acentos. Yo no tengo queja por nada Sonia y Gavin muy amables, la estancia fue muy confortable y mi nivel de inglés subió bastante, solo pude estar un mes y en cuanto pueda volver a irme. Recomiendo 100% esta academia!!!! Lo pase en grande ☺️

The best academy

An amazing experience!

I couldn´t improve my level of english in Spain and that was the reason why I took up a course in Aston Academy during 10 weeks. This course provides a full experience in another country and a real immersion english course.

The academy is in Bangor, a village where you can find many facilities such as cinema, shops, coffeshops, pubs, good walks close to the coast, some hills around... The house is also good situated, and the rooms are clean and comfortable.

A highlight was that I spent all the time speaking in english because I was living with three different teachers, and from Monday to Friday, two more came to teach us. They are from different countries what was a really good feature for improving my listening. As the course is in an english speaking country, in my spare time I practised my english as well.

Moreover, the price was also good, I consider it the best value for money due to the food is included, the number of students per class (maximum 4) and the wide range of posibilities they offer.

On the whole, I would definitely recommend this course to everyone who is thinking about learning english abroad. For me, it was the best way to improve my english.

Immersion course

This is an excellent course for beginner-intermediate level students. The guesthouse is cosy and the teachers are great. The total immersion idea is wonderful, and students can improve their English in a safe and encouraging environment. The food was really good, and the atmosphere was very nice.
