The Intensive American Language Center (IALC) at Washington State University teaches English as a second language and prepares international students for study at U.S. colleges and universities. The IALC is part of Washington State University and is located on WSU Pullman campus.

The IALC offers several intensive English language programs each year. Each program session runs for eight weeks.
You can also take the TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) while studying at the IALC.
The main program offers five, eight-week sessions per year and six levels of language instruction, from beginning to high advanced.
Beginner
Low Intermediate
Intermediate – Eligible to take WSU Institutional TOEFL
High Intermediate
Advanced – Undergraduate study preparation (meets WSU language proficiency requirement for undergraduate admission)
High Advanced – Graduate study preparation (meets WSU language proficiency requirement for graduate study)

A customized program at the IALC is a perfect way for your group to learn English and experience American culture.
Group programs typically last from 2 to 6 weeks. Students live in residence halls on the Washington State University campus in Pullman and study with professional ESL faculty.
