The Language Centre was established in 1991 and has grown steadily since. It developed to become a dynamic teaching unit that offers high quality language learning to more than 1200 students from different University departments. Some students follow a degree course with a compulsory language element. Most students choose a language as an optional module and can either improve existing language skil or begin a new language.

Students learn in small groups in a relaxed environment with tutors of different nationalities and professional backgrounds. All tutors are qualified language teachers who are highly motivated and commited.
