Unique New Zealand is the New Zealand family owned and operated English language school located on the shores of an exclusive residential and shopping enclave on the North Shore of Auckland, New Zealand. With classes just 50 minutes by public bus from downtown Auckland (20 minutes by car) our students rapidly become part of an extended multinational family both on campus and in the wider community. Unique New Zealand has 2 campuses in beautiful Browns Bay, one campus for students 18 years and over, the other for students under 18. Our English language courses prepare students for leisure, travel, business, high school, university or for general communication across national borders. Our English + Activities programmes are designed to give students, ages 8 - 18, fun, adventures, an introduction to Kiwi culture and English language skills during their school vacations. From July 2008 Unique New Zealand will introduce a new English + Rugby programme. This programme is designed especially for students who wish to master English language while fine tuning their rugby playing skills using tried and true New Zealand methods. Available only for the month of July it is essential that students reserve their places on this programme well in advance.

Englisch Examensvorbereitung

Students can prepare for TOEFL or Cambridge examinations at Unique. These courses are offered subject to demand.
Course content
Students study General English or English for Academic Purposes in the morning classes. The afternoon classes prepare students for TOEFL or Cambridge examinations.
Englisch Akademische Vorbereitung
This course is for students aged: 16-70

Wochenstunden: Standard (15-25 Stunden/Woche)
These courses prepare students for university study in New Zealand or another English-speaking country. The courses prepare students for the IELTS examination.
Free Practice IELTS tests are also run twice a week for EAP students who want to practise before their actual tests. Your EAP teacher can give you more information about these.
At Unique, EAP courses are available full-time (25 hours per week), or part-time (15 hours per week).
Business Englisch
This course is for students aged: 16-70

This four week afternoon course is perfect for those who need to undertake business in English in their daily lives. Available to full-time General English students from Intermediate level upwards.
Course Content
You will be given case studies and be required to deliver a presentation in class. Increase your vocabulary by learning about globalization, brands, advertising, meetings and report writing and more!
Englisch Pathway Programme

English for Further Studies/High School Preparation (EFS)
The EFS course prepares students for high school study in New Zealand. Students improve their English level and develop the academic skills and confidence needed to succeed at high school. This course has been developed with input from our local high school partners.
Many students pathway on to local high schools after studying this course. Unique New Zealand has a special relationship with Rangitoto College, a local high school only a 5 minute drive from our school. Many of our students pathway to this school after they have studied on our English for Further Studies course.
Profi Englisch
This course is for students aged: 16-70

This course is perfect for students planning to work in an English-speaking environment. Students gain the confidence needed to work in New Zealand.
Course content
Topics covered include writing CVs, finding jobs, interview skills, meeting customers, writing emails, telephone skills, meetings, problem solving and team work.
