WESLI has been teaching English since 1981 and training teachers since 1999. We are located in downtown Madison, Wisconsin – across the street from the state capitol building. Madison is a medium-sized city, located in the heart of the mid-west. Madison is a very safe, friendly and inexpensive city to live in and has a number of universities in town, including the internationally top-ranked University of Wisconsin Madison. Students can choose to stay in our Dormitory or with homestay families.

Many of our teachers and staff have been at WESLI for more than 15 years. In addition, most of our administrative staff members also teach or have taught in the past – we find that this ensures students are always working with people that have a passion for helping students and the experience needed to help.

We offer 7 levels of English instruction, from zero level to university bridge, in the areas of General English & American Culture, Business English, Academic Preparation and Test Prep. We have agreements with over 40 universities and colleges that accept our students without a TOEFL score. In addition, we also have a 5-week Teacher Training Program with a 30-hour Practicum. In addition, we offer private tutoring and customized programs. We offer six, 8-week sessions per year, but students are welcome to study for any length of time.

Wesli is an excellent school to learn English!

They have very good teachers and staff that help you to learn and practice the language. You can get prepared to take different certification tests, and at the same time learn about general culture of USA.

My favorite thing was to be able to interact with people from all over the world.

I'd definitely recommend Wesli.

Being a part of WESLI family

I think many people want to study English but people may be afraid of studying abroad alone especially if you aren't familiar with the place. I was kind of that person. But I was very surprised when coming to WESLI. Teachers were very kind, interesting and helpful. Also it was easy to make friends from different countries because there were many activities and I stayed at the dormitory so I could stayed with friends. I felt like being a part of WESLI family. Also, there were many levels so I could improve myself.
I was very shy to speak English but now here I am! I could be friendly and am enjoying to speak English.
This is because of WESLI. I am very happy to study there. I miss WESLI so much too xoxo

Great experience

WESLI is definitely a good place to go to if you want to come to the USA to learn English but also to have a generally great experience. My favorite thing about being a student at WESLI was that, besides English, you also have the chance to learn about so many different cultures and interact with a lot of people from other countries, and I think that's a huge enriching experience. WESLI is also very good in training you for school if you're planning on staying in the states for your degree. Everybody is really nice and very willing to help as well. I've been a student at WESLI in two different ocations and both times I was very satisfied.

Best experience ever.

My experience in Wesli and Madison was great. Loved the school, classes, teachers and friends. I improved my English skills and Wesli gave me a letter recommendation to study a PhD class at the UW. Madison is a lovely place to live. Everything is beautiful.

Best time of my Life!

My experience in WESLI was wonderful. They helped me to prepare for my MBA. When I arrived I was a beginner and the teachers helped me to improve my English skills and to overcome my fears about learning - I learned more than a language, but also about different cultures and to be more independent. WESLI is so much more than a language school, it is also a family.

worthwhile educational experiences

I've taken several classes in the Wesli for 10 months, and I haven't regretted taking them. In the Wesli, there are super professional teachers who are still studying English, and I can't tell you how much I was impressed when I met them at first. Anyway, the distinct thing is that you can improve your English a lot in the Wesli.

WESLI has partnered with the University of Wisconsin College System to offer three- credit college classes at WESLI. This is a great opportunity for WESLI students to earn college credit while still studying at WESLI. These credits can be transferred to UW schools and count towards a student’s general education requirements, no matter what major they choose.
